Anyone else get "all choked up" at WDW?

I cried on the boat from VWL to Magic Kingdom in August b/c it was our daughter's first time in the World. I cried in the Castle when we were seated overlooking Fantasyland. I cried when DD and DH rode Dumbo together b/c he told me on our honeymoon that he couldn't wait to ride with our kids someday and his wish was coming true. Like the OP--I was pretty much a mess the whole time. I just have such strong, wonderful memories of WDW that I become overwhelmed.

I can cry with joy at many Disney things but our recent trip had me in tears. We took our 8 year old foster child who has mild autism. While we were at the backyard BBQ he was so excited to see Chip and Dale but steers clear of big groups or tight crowds,so when C&D were on the floor and all the kids and adults were milling round, our wee guy sat at our table playing with a car and watching from the corner of his eye. The characters began dancing with the people but John stayed where he was. Even our 4 DD's couldn't persuade him to dance {he loves to dance and loves music}
Anyway one of the CM's who was with the characters must have spotted Jhn and would you believe it he brought chip and dale right to the table. John 's eyes lit up like stars. Even writing about it brings tears to my eyes. It truly was a very very magical moment.
10 minutes later John decided to go dance with us on the quietest part of the floor away from everyone when Minnie Mouse came over and danced with him. More tears. He doesn't like strangers touching him but his smile was so wide and his eyes were sparkling. I wish I knew how to post pictures. There were many magical moments on our trip but the BBQ characters were stars[ and thank you so much to the CM

I got a little misty-eyed watching the film on Walt Disney @ MGM, I forget the exact venue. There are some people that should not be allowed to die, and he was one of them. Also, when they stopped selling Ringnes beer at Norway in Epcot, I bawled like a baby.

Amen Bill. I can just picture my face when the CM told me they no longer served Ringnes. I know I stood there for (what seemed to me) forever with my mouth partly open in stunned silence. Norway has never been the same :guilty:

My family all cried when they saw me dancing around in a pink tutu (as Davey Crockett's angel) at the end of the HDD. I thought my oldest son was going to crawl under the table he was so embarrassed.

My tears start at the airport when I realize that I'm there!!!!!!!!!

....She's hooked now and can never wait to plan our next vacation. We spend our time in the evening and at meals discussing what we'll do on our next trip or what new rides we'd like to see added to the parks. She even wants to treat my mom and dad to a Decmeber trip because my mom has always wanted to see the Christmas decorations. I've been trying to avoid that one ;-)

My wife still gets choked up as we round that corner.

That's a great story Sambahat. Another convert created (key evil laugh) mooohhaaaahahahaaaa :teeth:
