Anyone else get "all choked up" at WDW?

Illuminations and Wishes

Seeing the Castle from any angle

Having my picture taken with Mickey

Just walking through One Man's Dream had me choked up, then I saw the
movie and I was done for!

Last night I saw the commercial with Walt and Mickey opening DL and had to leave the room!!!

How pathetic is that??? hahaha

Wishes always gets me!!! Also, the first view down Main St I start to cry. And, I can't leave without a few tears, even when I know I have another trip a few months away...

Me too! We were there with friends this past April. It was there first time and we were at open at MK and I bawled like a baby! I cry at One Man's Dream too, just to name a few!

1) Seeing Cinderella's Castle from the end of Main Street as soon as I enter MK
2) Festival of the Lion King---not sure why but I just get all choked up!
3) Wishes--the worst of them all. I was balling like a little girl during that fireworks show.
4) Ending back at Orlando International Airport knowing that I'm coming back home to the cold weather! :cold: :rotfl:

And we get all chocked up at Candlelight Processional, and seeing the lights in the Arch at Epcot and hearing the music at WL and and and

hi all,
as i guy i will admit it,yes! several times. one i see my son hug goofy or mickey and he has the big smile on his face.when i see the special magic happen when i there like to a kid or adult.

I cried when I got to my room. I cried on Main Street. I cried during Illuminations. And I cried when I left. So yes, I am a great big baby, but I am even crying now.

When my 4 yr old DD was picked to be in Storytime with Belle, - her idol-the look of pure awe on her face as she was staring up at her was priceless- it was the first thing we did on our first family vacation i'll never forget it! She was Cogsworth and DD2 was Chip! :cool1: :lovestruc

OMG, I thought is was just me!
Like a previous poster, MK is my first visit when I get there and my last visit of the trip.
Walking thru the train tunnel on the way out...I get this huge lump in my throat and I literally fight back the tears. I can't talk to anyone or I'll start bawling!

I leave for my 8th trip in just 10 days! WOO HOO

I cried as I stepped onto Main Street at nighttime. It was so magical I had to do something. My husband laughed at me (and now he is the one who glances through our disney album almost every day). Also I cried like a big baby as the disney bus was taking us back to the airport and we passed through the "Welcome to DisneyWorld" sign- boohoo. I am reliving my precious memories as I read everyones' posts, thanks so much......

O.K. you guys, you all have me bawling just reading this thread, lol! A few that get to me:
Wishes of course
Walking into the lobby of the WL
Our first boat or bus ride to whatever park to start our trip
Walking down Main St and seeing the castle
Festival of the Lion King gets me too!
Watching my daughter's eyes light up at everything (and she's been a lot!)

We are going with my dh's family for the first time in Dec. to celebrate dd's birthday, they've never been to any kind of theme park before, so I'm sure I'll be crying the entire time!

Oh, yeah, another one....the CP, gets me everytime. I'm sure I'll be even worse this year, watching my dd see it with her grandpa.

Wishes, the Castle, the Monorail...
Quick we all need an intervention... :grouphug:

Before I first went last year, I was looking at the WDW website and the Wishes animation made me cry. What a dork I am!!

I have! When my niece and nephew (ages 5 and 4) saw characters, I teared up at their excitment. Also, funny you should mention the cruise: we did our first cruise in Sept and I had no idea that the "horn" was When you Wish Upon a Star. I was on the top deck checking the boat out while DH slept when I first heard it and I welled up like a baby, I was quite embarassed!! Also when we enetered the ship, their welcome was very touching.

On Oct. 1 I got to introduce my little one to WDW. I cried as I saw him so excited to see the Welcome show at MK. It was my first time to see it too. I blamed the tears on "sunscreen in the eyes." Now the little one has an addiction to the Disneyland Fun Sing Along DVD. I get misty whenever I see him so excited by the characters and songs that he's just gotta dance.

I remember crying like a baby on the last night of my first trip with my DH (DF at the time). He held me and promised, we'll come back, I promise. We were back 8 mos. later on our Honeymoon and became DVCers.

I was pleasantly surprised to witness my 17 year old daughter with tears streaming down her cheeks when we stepped onto Main Street and she saw the castle this trip. (this was her 4th trip in 3 years) I remember saying to her how happy I was that she had Disney fever just like her mom, and that I hoped we would share a moment like this in the very far away future with her children. Her brother and father could really care less, so I was glad to know that someone in the family would be willing to continue our annual trek to the World.

I always get choked up when I'm leaving the park for the last time of the trip. We usually finish up with Wishes at MK and as we're walking back down mainstreet towards the exit, I'll take a last look at the castle and even though I've had a great time, I'm sad that it's over and I usually start crying like a little girl. BF laughs at me but I'm a total sap so it's nothing new!

This August was my first trip ever to WDWI cried at least once a day, usually more...

I cried when we got our first glimpse of the castle from the monorail

I cried when we saw Spaceship Earth for the first time

I cried when we saw the Princesses in Fantasmic, then I cried at the end when Mickey defeats the villians

I cried BIG TIME at Wishes (the music kills me)

I cried when my lil guy (3 years old) saw he was big enough to ride the Barnstormer and he yelled with glee "I can ride! I can ride!"

I cried when the Power Rangers came out, and when we met Buzz Lightyear (my sons' heros)

I cried when my daughter met Aurora (her hero)

I cried when they sang Happy Birthday to my husband at Concourse

I cried when we met Mickey and the gang at Chef Mickey's

But most of all, I cried my eyes out when it was time to leave :0)
