Anyone else from MA have those horrible T-storms last night??

Wow! That was the worst I have heard/seen in a long time!!! Can't believe how the lightning just keep flashing and the thunder kept rolling without much of a break. Loud, crakling thunder that shook the entire house! I will admit it that even at my age I am sooo afraid of thunder storms! I am thankful that neither one of my kids woke up - but DH and I were up the entire time. The lightning flashes lit up the entire room! The two cats took off to hide under the bed. Bet the birds were scared.

And DH goes off tonight for two nights away and they are predicting MORE storms - help!!

We had a very brief tornado warning in CT last night around 10:20 PM!!
They kept saying, the National Weather Service does not post these in this area unless they are sure it's there!!
I almost panicked and woke up the kids, but I waited a couple of minutes, and they cancelled it, saying the disturbance is beaking up!!
VERY SCARY!!

Yikes, did I miss 'em?? I don't usually sleep through thunderstorms. We had some pretty good ones on Sat night around 2:30 but I didn't hear any last night. Did have some around 5 am though. That was wierd. Maybe central MA missed out this time.

I must have been pretty tired last night. I didn't hear them. I heard the ones on Saturday night, and I heard the ones that just happened. The weather guy just said there would be even more thunder storms. Yuck.

Last night we didnt have any but Saturday night I thought the house was going to fall down. Yikes!
Of course this morning while out on my jog, the downpour started and I could hear some thunder in the distance, but luckily all that came out of that for me was I got soaked.

so gosh darn special........BLAHHHHHHHHHHHh.......it was a good rumble and who needed lights when the house was illuminated .....I hate them even at my age......but try not to show it during the day time boomers when I have kids here.....wonder if it has anything to do with my dm coming to my place with her coat and books and bankbooks and checking books.....and a flashlight (yes even in the daytime) and a radio that runs on batteries......I do believe it may of been her fault ....hahaha

Was not only Massachusetts last night. We were down in the basement at 1:30 AM in one doozy. Total of 3 came through here overnight.

We had thunderstorms here Sat night and Sun night! But Sat night's were the worst!! We had one"CracK" over the house that rattled the windows!......................P

I'm in the Metrowest area and either we didn't get them last night, or I slept right through them! I did hear them Sat. night though. I love thunderstorms!! Yikes, tornado warnings in CT?!?

We had a couple of good ones pass over last night too. The tornado warnings kind of freaked me out since you don't see that in CT too often !

My grandmother used to make my mother and her brother sit around the kitchen table with the lights off, hold hands, and pray during thunderstorms when she was a kid. Definately traumatized her, I think . She still can't stand them. My dad always had us sitting out on the porch watching them when we were little. It takes a really bad one to scare me now .

Saturday's storm was better; last night we had the flashes and could barely hear the thunder but we got almost no rain. I love T'Storms, but DW hates them.

Had them here both Saturday and Sunday night. Very tired today. Was still going strong here at 4:30 when I got up to shower...yes I know you aren;t supposed to shower in a storm BUT as I was soooooooooooo tired I had to.

I am sitting here dying of sleep deprevation. Central MA did get them - they rolled through at 4:30 am - 5:00 am. I had rumblings all afternoon. We didn't get anything big, we did the other night and it woke my son up and kept us up for a good two hours - but last night it just had me up at exactly the wrong time to get back to sleep.

I am off now to Dunkin Donuts for coffee.
