Anyone else around here find that all or the majority of your scrapbooking is doing Disney pages?

That seems to be all I ever do!

I was there 5 times last year so that is part of it. My next trip is only a few weeks away so I am sure I will have tons more to do!!

I have finished 2 of the 4 trip albums from last year. I had to take a break from Disney pages. They were all starting to look alike. So, I'm taking a Disney scrapping break, and working on everyday life photos for a while. But, yes, I felt like ALL I was doing was Disney!

I've been working mostly on Disney since we got back from our trip in August. I did take a break and did the kids' first day of school photos. Then I got really fried working on Disney, so last week I did the Christmas 2007 pages. That was enough of a break, and now I have about 5 Disney pages left to complete the album. My hope is to finish them by the end of the month. Then I'll move on to scrapping school photos, soccer, and our annual trip to the orchard.

Yes, but then I took 2500 photos!

I did one album of just Disney Xmas decorations, and 3 of characters. I made the mistake of buying some of the DisneyWorld albums which only hold 15 page protectors....

I promise to do other things this year!

I was warned off the Disney albums, I've heard a lot of people complaining about them falling apart if they're looked at too much.

I completely lost my Disney mojo after my 2006 trip. Honstly didn't have the best time (the company. not the place!) so I found it hard to scrap and gave up. I really wanna get it done now though as I did get some great photos and I wanna start work on our 2007 trip as well!

You are so right!!! Once I get these last few pages done from our Nov trip with our grandson, then it is on to other projects. I have been working on one regarding Thanksgivings over the yrs with my family. My mom is 96, and I want to capture these memories while she can still share with me.

All I work on is Disney stuff but it seems like that is what I have the most of.....it is such an addiction.

I pretty much just scrap Disney. Most all our vacations involve a park, so it makes sense. I have actually switched my day-to-day scrapbooking to digital and only do traditional/hybrid for Disney books.

Wish I was there often enough to have that problem :rolleyes1 We're planning a short DLP trip in April so I'm averaging less than once in 10 years over my whole lifetime.

Might I suggest (heresy! :earseek: ) going somewhere else? If its not interesting/exciting enough to scrap, is it interesting/exciting enough to go? OR on each trip do a different theme - signs, trash cans etc?

OR do one of the "scrap a year" tips in the magazines - like take 12 photos on the 12th of each month (whatever day it falls on, even if you're doing nothing special) and scrap them, that sort of idea?

It's not that it isn't interesting or exciting enough to scrap, at least in my case. It's more that I seem to sweat the Disney pages more than the other stuff I do. I think of Disney as being kind of "perfect", so I feel pressure for the pages to be "perfect", too.

Right, it's not that I don't want to go or that I don't find it interesting, I was just wondering if anyone else seemed to only scrap Disney.

Disney is still the most magical place on earth for me and I cherish every trip, and I love love love it.

So the problem is you put everything else to one side because its not as much fun as Disney to scrap? I get you now:thumbsup2

How about doing some non-Disney swaps so you get stuff to kickstart the other pages?

When I first started scrapping, the first book I did was our DLP trip (as I didn't have a huge quantity of photos and got a free 7x7 perfect for it ;) ) then the first 12x12 album I did was vacations and day trips, with another for Christmas (again, both free from CM as a promotional thing for CMCs in my first couple of months - joining at Christmas was a good move!). Of course if most of your vacations are Disney this wil put you back to square one :lmao: but I found it a way of breaking donw the backlog (as at that point I had 12 years to make up to do books for my two DS's).

Or set a target of one non-Disney page for every 5 Disney?

I love scrapping Disney and that's what about 90% of my scrapping is of. It's not that I don't have plenty of other pictures, but I I'm such a disney dork that I feel like I have to take pictures of EVERYTHING. :lovestruc And when you go three times in one year, it adds up. I do try to do a few pages of sports at the end of each baseball, football, and basketball season. I have not yet started scrapping Christmas, birthdays, first days of school, etc.-will I ever catch up??!!??:rotfl:

Since we've started scrapping all we've done is Disney. I don't know if I could do anything else. ;)

I did an 8x8 book for a good friend's birthday last September and every page in it had something Disney on it.

Sad as it may be, I haven't done any Disney Scrapbooking yet! :sad2: I've been busy over the last several years between moving three times and DH working two jobs...I haven't had much time to scrapbook. But it seems that this year has started off with some spare time. I've caught up on two years of my DD-4's scrapbook. I've got DS's scrapbook to do next...that won't be so easy, he's 8 :scared1:

I have about four Disney trips that I want to scrapbook, but I'm so afraid that I'll mess the pages up!! :confused3 I guess I just want the Disney vacation scrapbooks to be absolutely PERFECT, so I want to wait until I have more scrapbooking experience before I tackle them.

My friend offered to sell me her Cricut because she wants to get the bigger one, so that's going to help me out tremendously in becoming a more "professional" scrapbooker! :lmao:

I mostly scrap our vacations. Not just Disney ones but all our trips. However that being said MOST of our trips are Disney related.
But I also scarp in my HOOTERS album and fishing trip album. I need to do some Disney ones for our two grown kids and their families. I may start on them one of these days. I should also do a grand kids one

MAN what am I doing Dis'in I got LOTS to do.:rotfl:
