I can't believe it! Just odd with CRO and according to them ZBH is 50 more total for 7 nights at AKL??

Try calling again. I have had bad luck with my AAA agent. I would call CRO again. Maybe a different CM can help. It is possible the ZBH code rooms may be sold out for the dates you are inquiring about.

Good luck........

I say this every year... making WDW ressies is a PIA!!

If ZBH is the passholder rate, then yes, I found AAA rate to be less expensive for my Ft. Wilderness CampSITE reservation in December.

My AAA agent said almost all the packages he has, their rate was better then ZBD...but when he tried my package this morning, ZBD was $255 cheaper...so now he going back thru all his packages and checking again.

He thanked me for making him check his packages again.

I knew ZBH was cheaper cause I called CRO yesterday and compared.

AAA used the Disney Visa w/dining package code for our trip POR 11/18 for eight nights with 8 day park hopper for 2A,1Junior,2 children. This reduced our trip from a AAA price of $3,461 to $3,177. I called Disney to see what price I could get without going through AAA(had to make sure the TA got the best price) and Disney quoted me slightly higher about $3,250 I think. I have no idea why I didn't get the same price.
I then went into the AAA office when the general code came out. The TA called Disney and couldn't get a better rate. Dont' know if this helps or not. I would have thought prices would be the same

Our TA says we cannot get a better rate on our early Dec. trip, split between BC and AKL, concierge level, with AAA discount and dining. Hope this is true.

I would call CRO using the code and get my own quote!

It isn't for us because we use Magical Journeys. I recommend to everyone to use either MJ or Dreams Unlimited. You sit back while they do all the work. They are experts where Disney is concerned and will get you the best rate possible. I don't have experience with DU, but from what I understand they are pretty darn good. I know I'll never use anyone(including doing it myself) but Magical Journeys! :thumbsup2

First time in 7 yrs but I am trying DU. If they have better luck then I then I will book with them. I am done with the sitting on the phone for hours with a moron, usually, on the other end.

This is exactly what happened to us. I made the reservation through CRO, but then requested a quote from AAA. AAA's quote was $50 less, so I called AAA and told them to go ahead and book my reservation through them. The agent was very excited and told me that she can give me an even better deal, because a new promo just came out. After she input all the info, she was surprised the that the new promo rate was $50 more. So to make a long story short, we are booked through AAA, and I think that is the best we could have gotten given the dates we are going and the resort.

Yes - us too. We have 3 different rooms - 2 parties staying at the Grand - 1 in Concierge and 1 in a regular room and then 1 party over at the CR Tower room.

Since each spot is different one would think we could do better on one of the locations but NOPE. So AAA was better than the code.

Then I got creative on the last room and put a package on it for the kids so that they have most of their meals paid and tickets paid for. Seemed reasonable to me. Of course we used the Disney Visa Card but could no apply that either.

This seals it for us - it is just like DisOrBust said - it is too much of a pain to be on the phones. Next year I am booking thru a TA. I always hesitated because we never wind up with what plan we start with - and that means changing hotels or ideas depending on who is going or even splitting a stay.

Plus I liked the thought that I could always cancel at the last minute, etc.

But who am I kidding....I charge the trip on my disney card to get the bonus dollars to spend on vacation. I am up to about 400 now. Then I have to pay for the trip at least 6 weeks ahead of time so that I get the credit on my card. :goodvibes

So why not just go with a TA....

Perhaps check the price online too and compare with the other quotes you got. Here's the link to the discounted package page http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/special/offerDetail?id=07_Q1PackageOfferPage Online it's called Code ZAW but it's the same deal from what I can make out.

I wonder if it depends on the value/moderate/deluxe. I know that the quote I got online for All Stars was way cheaper than the AAA rate (the room portion was only 58 dollars or so incl tax as opposed to 95 with AAA).

It's worth checking.

Perhaps people are using the wrong codes for room only and packages? I used ZBD for a package at CSR.

We booked our October trip with AAA room discount three months ago. Found a code on the DIS last night, called again today and was able to save $310!!!!!!!! That's $310 less than my AAA rate @ POFQ using the 'ZBC' Disney Visa cardholder code. I'm so excited I could almost cry.

Should also mention that we needed to cancel our original ressie and book from scratch so it did take about 15 minutes but $310 was well worth my time. And to think I almost wasn't going to bother thinking it wouldn't be a better deal than AAA.

The CM who helped me was an absolute gem!

Just goes to show you should never quit shopping around for a better deal.

Thank you so much to the DIS for saving me some dough! :-) :cool1:

I checked the web when the code was released, and my AAA rate was $5 less than the Disney code, so I kept my AAA reservation.

Not me. I was going to book AAA room only for Pop for 12/13-17, which would have been a total of $284.40. I booked under the general public package and am getting the 4 nights at Pop and a one day base ticket (will save that for later and upgrade it) for $289.73, only $5.33 more! So the package is definitely cheaper for me.

I had a AAA ressie in place and changed to using the new code and saved 290 dollars off of my AAA ressie so I made out.

With the new code I saved.......$20.80, yes only $20 over my AAA discount. Oh well, not near as good as last years $200 some but I am happy just to be able to go! Now if I didnt have AAA, using the rack rate I would be saving $202.50. I guess it is all in how you want to cut the cake!
