Not because you don't want Christmas to be over, but just because you're lazy? I just can't get the energy up to take the stuff down! :rolleyes1

Anyone else procrastinating out of laziness?

I took mine down this past weekend - it sure was a pain! I love putting it up but don't like taking it down at all!

I took mine down on the weekend. Couldn't take it any longer. I didn't even wait for DH, I just dragged a 10 ft tree tio the curb myself:thumbsup2

My girlfriend is even better, she sends hers to the curbs with the lights on it and replaces the lights every year from clearance sales.

I hate taking mine down both out of laziness and because I hate when Christmas ends, but the past few days I've been super-cleaning the house and am actually considering taking the tree down today if I get everything else done. I've never taken it down before my birthday before (Jan. 19) because I just like having it up so much, but this year may be different.

Plus, working retail can sour one on the whole "Christmas" thing really quickly, unfortunately. I'm so ready for spring now I can't stand it.

I'm with you I'm too lazy to take them down! I was going to take the tree down last week but then I thought of what a long process that will be. The rate I'm going I should just leave everything up year round!

Nope...kinda like the un-cluttered look of the house without all the decorations up.

Me, too. I was happily taking them down the day after Christmas. I didn't like doing it, but I sure liked it when I was done.

I don't dread it out of laziness, but I love to see all the white sparkling lights...reminds me of the white light sparkle trees at Epcot.

I hear ya! I started taking them down 2 days ago and all the stuff is still sitting there......staring at me...........blah!!!!!!!!!

Me too. Mine came down on the 29th. It's an arduous day-long chore and I wanted to get it done while I was still home on vacation, but I didn't want to find myself stuck doing it on my last day-off. So I did it on Friday and was still able to enjoy R&R for the whole NY weekend.

I don't get very excited about putting them up. I really can't stand taking them down!

I don't admit it to my family... but I find it verrrrrry depressing to take down the tree and decorations. Our house looks soooo bare right now. :sad2:

What a lovely image! Any time I see white twinkle lights they remind me of the trees in Liberty Square, the ones that always look like they've got fireflies in them. :goodvibes

Nope, don't dred it. I'm a neat freak and took everything down and packed away on January 1. I was so happy to do it. Then I cleaned out the closet in the guest room, the closet in the foyer and was about to work on Joe's closet when he screeched that I am not allowed to touch his stuff. When I get going, it's hard to stop.

I'm always the first one to help my parents put up the family tree at their house, but my mom never asks me to help take it down because of the one time I cried when doing it. Yes, that happened like 20 years ago, but it still depresses the heck out of me to this day!

As I strolled around the neighborhood today I noticed quite a few of my neighbors are procrastinating about taking down decorations. The weather is fairly mild for January, you'd think they'd would want to get it done.:confused3

Good, I'm not the only one then!

I like the clean and tidy look too, I just don't like the effort needed to obtain such a state!

Wanna come to my house, I have some closets too...

:rotfl: Me, too! I'm going to try to get it done this weekend, but who knows? :goodvibes

Usually I take my time but not this year. My cat decided to help me get started by taking the tree down on Christmas day. :cat:
