Anyone else dred taking down their decorations?

We are on day 3 of taking down XMas stuff. Day 1 was outisde and 2 and 3 inside. We just finished about half an hour ago!! I HATE IT!!! We still have a couple more hours of work outside left......I am procrastinating on that one!!:rolleyes1

Oh yeah, me too! I love putting Christmas stuff up and decorating the tree but always hate taking stuff down and putting it away. And this year is even worse, because we've decided to clean out a closet and put the Christmas stuff in there instead of dragging it up and down stairs every year.

So, tomorrow, or Friday, or Saturday....I have to clean the closet out. :(
Then probably Monday we'll take the tree down and put everything away.

I'm another one who likes to stare at the lights. All the lights and music is my favorite part of Christmas besides getting together with family. This weekend we will take it all down. Hate to see it go.

Epiphany is Saturday. Our decorations come down Sunday.First the 'wise men' have to make it to the manger, lol! There are still several groups 'travelling' all over our house. This year, my son is moving them and they are having quite an adventure!!!

Nope, don't dred it. I'm a neat freak and took everything down and packed away on January 1. I was so happy to do it. Then I cleaned out the closet in the guest room, the closet in the foyer and was about to work on Joe's closet when he screeched that I am not allowed to touch his stuff. When I get going, it's hard to stop.

I need to clear some more area in the basement before I can finish. Want to be neat at my house too? Closets....basement.....I will send a plane ticket for that.:rotfl2:

Putting it off wayyyyyyy longer than I should have. I need to get it done this weekend because I really don't want to come home from a warm sunny vacation only to be met by Christmas decorations.

We got ours started disassembeling on DEc. 26th and everything was done by Dec. 30. We also rearranged the furniture/TV stand, steamed all the carpets upstairs and downstairs, threw out crap in the basement and cleaned /organized my daughters room. We also reorganized storage spaces. We did about 4 trips to Goodwill in two days!

We wanted to start the new year off without a major project hanging over our head!

Not because you don't want Christmas to be over, but just because you're lazy? I just can't get the energy up to take the stuff down! :rolleyes1

Anyone else procrastinating out of laziness?

:lmao:

I am procrastinating because I am going to declutter. ;) Going to get rid of alot and I am dreading it.:scared: :lmao:

Yup. Can we keep it up and call it a Valentines bush? I mean we do have a lot of red bows on it. I'm just sayin....:lmao:

Now see, if you had Orlando, FL in your "Location", I'd say "yeah baby." Alas, Missouri is not in my future.

On a side note, Joe always tells me he has never known anyone but me to get excited when I see a new Swiffer product enter the market. And room deodorizers. And since I've announced that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is my new BFF, he thinks there's no hope for me. Ever.

I said the same thing about the Magic Eraser - as much as I use them my husband wishes we would have bought stock. One mark on the wall makes me crazy.

I am self proclaimed neat/organizational freak and proud of this issues. I clean closets for fun.

Rick, if you ever find yourself in Massachusetts, could you come here and work some magic in my house? TIA! :)
