have to iron as you pack? :woohoo:

Just wondering if i am the only one that had it ironed (pun intended) into them growing up that you must iron as you pack your clothes for a trip. My DH laughs at me but I can't help myself, I even iron our t-shirts  . Its a compulsive thing. It must be because I rarely iron at home :rotfl:

I compulsively iron when I UNpack. My favorite thing is to have an alcoholic beverage while unpacking/ironing.

We all have our things I guess. I don't iron stuff when packing, but I do pretty much iron it all when we get to Disney.

I'm one who rarely uses the iron at home too. :rotfl:

Wow. I don't iron anything. Ever.

The only reason I own an iron is for iron-on girl scout badges and ironing beads.

We use our Iron to hold up stuff that may other-wise tip over in our Laundry room...that's pretty much it's only function as far as I can tell. :lmao:

I never, ever iron. I remove my clothes from the dryer when they're still warm and immediately hang them.

If anything ever has to be ironed for some reason, DH is the one that does it. I couldn't even tell you where our ironing board is right now. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: I won't even use a curling iron when I'm on a vacation.:beach:

I iron a lot here. So does DH now -- we share it. I hate the rumply look. I don't iron "play clothes" but anything I consider "nice" gets ironed. Everything gets ironed at Disney, but I admit we splurge when we get home. We've often dropped off full loads of nice clothes at the dry cleaners for pressing.

I blame it on my mom, who is a neat FREAK!!! :sad2:

I can't cook or clean very well, but I can iron it up! I actually feel bad today because my dd4 was being a maniac yesterday so I told her that I would not iron her outfit for daycare today, she was sooo upset about it. Ofcourse this morning I ironed it without her seeing me.

I'm usually an ironer on vacation. DH used to just spray his clothes with water, good enough for him. I purchased a travel size bottle of downy wrinkle release spray and it worked great. Did not have to iron at all this vacation. I highly recommend it. Just spray the wrinkles and smooth out the wrinkles with your hand. Worked great. Bought it at Target in the travel section (I think).

I usually don't iron at home. Sometimes our clothes look pathetically wrinkled, and I let my DH know years ago when we got married that he could iron his own clothes for work! lol

BUT when I know I'm going to be around other people, I at least iron my dds clothes, sometimes even my own stuff. ;)

For Disney World, I probably spent at least two hours ironing before packing our clothes! I just did touchups at the hotel.

You're not alone!

I wouldn't iron while packing a bag that's going to be checked at the airport - if they search your bag at the airport, they take great joy in messing up neatly folded/ironed clothing... :lmao:

I'm going to try this next time...I just love the smell of Downy.

Thanks for the tip.:thumbsup2

I iron almost everything so I pass the iron over vacation clothes. I also pack a bottle of Wrinkle Release and spray the outfits as I hang them when I unpack, so I never iron once we get to the resort.

I use it as I iron as well. It helps when you are ironing cotton and the wrinkles are stubborn :thumbsup2

I love the Downy wrinkle remover!!! This from a reluctant iron user. I normally try the Downy on knits like tees and polos. It works amazingly well! It can take light wrinkles out of pants, but deep creases still need to be pressed. Like you, I iron everything before the Disney trip. It helps to make me feel like I am really getting ready. Unpack and hang, with a spritz of Downy and the clothes are as good as new! I send it w/ DH when he travels, too. I get mine at Walmart or Target. It is the best timesaver for under $4.00. Got a backup today!

We have a iron that collects dust. We don't have a ironing board.
