Anyone else bleed money?

I am a bleeder!!!! Yup, every darn time there is a post about some crazy deal or sale on the budget board, I'm right on it, and so is my credit card (but I pay in full each month). I started using my Disney Visa for everything just to earn the reward $ for our trip, but I've gotten a little toooooo used to using it now. I always justify my purchases by saying I'm saving $$, but I'm actually buying much more than we need. I buy things on sale to give as gifts later on, but then my kids get too many gifts and always expect them (or I lose the extra and have an overstuffed house). All of these purchases add up each and every month. I am now obsessed with candles, so I must have 3 boxes of candles in my basement, from after Xmas sales, etc. I really need to stop this....I know its possible, as I used to be so frugal. I think we need to start a support group. I'd love to move out of state eventually, and don't want all my "stuff" to hold me back (and I don't mean the kids).

I confess, Im a bleeder... Ive been telling myself for months now I need to go on a money diet. I pay the cc in full each month but its a shock it see how much could be banked.....I should, I could be better!!!

I'm a bleeder too, but my kids are the one's mopping up!! My older son (19 college student, new driver) is killing me with car insurance, gas, etc. He does have a part time job, but please . . . My younger son isn't as bad, but still manages to nickle and dime me to death. In our house, my paycheck is only earmarked for grocery shopping, gas for my car, and "fun" money. Thank heavens, or we would be in deep doo doo. After groceries and gas, I can still manage to "bleed" $300.00 between Friday and Monday. I keep telling myself that I could take a cruise 4 times a year with that money!!! UUGGHH!!!

It's not just bleeding with us, it's more of a severed artery. ;)
BUT before anyone decides to flame me or give me an intervention, it is OUR money and we will spend it as we see fit. When my spending habits begin to have a direct impact on somebody else THEN we will accept feedback.

Another severed artery here!

Since the middle of January, I've paid for 1 RT ticket to Cameroon, 2 RT tkts to a wedding in Dallas... with a third to follow , 4RT tkts to Chicago, 2 vacation deposits, 2 hotel rooms for a different wedding , 3 RT tickets to DD's graduation, plus 2 hotel rooms, a deposit at WDW for a suite at the BW for our 30th anniversary, plus DS's summer camp.

The only good thing is that I don't have to pay any more college tuition. :thumbsup2

I don't have this problem, but my husband does. If he had 25 cents to his name, he'd have to spend 24. He just can't not spend money and it's very frustrating. Even more so since he is the primary breadwinner, but I manage the finances, which puts me in the position of saying "you can't spend your own money!"

But we have always had "enough" to pay our bills and take care of our kids, but I would like to curb the casual spending, so when things come up like dental bills, or car trouble, or an emergency trip to a funeral, it won't be such a financial crisis.
