Anyone else being "hit" with rain and wind from Isadore???

It has rained here all day long for two days now. I am beginning to get tired of rain!

You betcha...I am in New Orleans. We have had TORRENTIAL rain. They estimate this afternoon we had 8 or more inches in a 2 hour period. The street by me has flooded 3 times so far, but then the rain slacks and the pumps catch up. Other areas which are lower have not been as lucky and many, many cars and homes have flooded. And to think this is "just a tropical storm".

I can't imagine what a large Hurricane would do to you guys!:(

Here in Michigan, our weatherman said our clouds are due to Isodore........but that's it.:D

Kitty...they claim if the "big one" came here, that is a Cat 4 or 5 that comes up the mouth of the Mississippi River the city would be under 20-24 feet of water which would take anywhere from 1-4 months to pump the water out. Worst case is there would be NO inhabitable buildings throughout the city. We are in a bowl in New Orleans, we are below sea level and are literally surrounded by water. We have canals and pumping stations that drain our rain water as it cannot simply run off. I for one will not be here if that storm comes. :(

We are still getting rain but the wind has died down. Earlier we had a tornado watch but as far as I know, its over. I'm thankful that everyone is ok.

yeah the wind was the worst for us. We had to drive to B'ham from Montgomery today, and there's nothing like finding yourself a foot or two over to the right from where you were a second ago!:)
It's rained all day, but not too heavily, thank goodness.

We're getting the rain, no wind. We are under flood warnings until 8:00 p.m.
