i dont know about anyone else but i am goin to be there during his gay days thing, and i think it is stupid, there is no strait days, i have nothing against gays but to have a day is a little out of hand, to m its just going to mean more crowds, and people going around with the red tee shirts on expressing thier sexualitly, me and my boyfriends dont go around wearing teeshirts expressing our sexualitly, there are going to be people there with thier children, and i just think its unnessasary, to me it is going to be annoying, and i dont have kids, does anyone feel me????

i was typing fast and spelled some things wrong, sorry, lol, and i meant to say "boyfriend" not boyfriends, plural, lol

ummmm... How old are you? I think you should 1) preview before you post and 2) take this to the debate board.

Thank you.

Karen

number one im 22, and number 2 , no thanks, i didnt want the attitude, i just wanted some feedback, it is about the parks, im just trying to find out some feedback

Ok. lol. Please preview, though, it is getting annoying looking at your spelling errors. Anyhow...

If it bothers you that much, visit another park that day. If I'm correct, it is only ONE day out of the year at Magic Kingdom, so visit Animal Kingdom that day, or Epcot even.

No, we don't have a "straight" day, however, we can flaunt it all we want any day of the year without getting looks and even beat up. It doesn't bother me that they can meet together in one place on one day and feel good about themselves.

I do have young children, and although I see nothing wrong with being true to yourself, I personally would choose to attend another park that day, since I am not quite ready for the "conversation" if my son WOULD notice anything. But that is my choice with my children. My dh and I would have no problem going if we didn't have children with us.

Is that what you were looking for?

Relax,
Karen

im sorry i didnt preview , but i did say sorry about my spelling errors right below it, i just think that god made adam and eve not adam and steve, and i dont know why everyone has to make that different, gay days will be held in animal kingdom, mgm, magic kingdom, and epcot the days we will be there so now everyday we will have to plan around it, its just annoying, i think i would have planned another time if i would have known, but oh well, im way to excited to let anyone ruin my time.

Well, some gay people travel with their children/parents/brothers/sisters to Gay Day. As suggested, avoid the MK on Saturday, that is probably the only day you'll notice an increase in the size of the crowd. If you've never been to Disney during Gay Days, then you really have no idea how people behave, don't pre-judge. I'm sorry if seeing people in Red Shirts offends you - but there are MANY folks that wear shirts to identify themselves as "part of a group" at Disney. Personally, I've never seen anything "over the top at Gay Day" - at least nothing more than one normally can see from hetero couples. There are those in ANY group that want attention - I've seen plenty of hetero couples with "misplaced" hands.

And personally, I find it MUCH easier negotiating Mom's wheelchair through the more adult (agewise) crowd at Gay Day parks than having young'uns running and cutting in front or the wheelchair - they don't stop on a dime.

im not trying to offend anyone, i was there last year for the start of gay days and they were at my hotel, they were all nice except these 2 guys that were staring and acting rude to everyone, i almost think on purpose, which put the stereo type on them and the rest of them, i dont have a problem with the red shirts or anyting, maybe i should have just not posted this cause everyone is taking it the wrong way, thats my opinion, thats all.

Get over it...........Chuck S was nice enough to offer you some feedback.............I won't waste my energy. While you're getting over it .... why don't you try growing up also?

Nope doesn't bother me at all. I'd take a larger adult crowd anyday over the abundant entitlement families I encountered last week.

i dont have kids, does anyone feel me????

Everyone has their own opinioin on this subject and they are welcome to discuss the issue, however, discussion of this issue will not provide any planning advice.

I think you are asking us if we feel that this gathering is wrong. Since that is not a question relevant to planning a trip, I'm going to move this to our community board for you.

...they were all nice except these 2 guys that were staring and acting rude to everyone, i almost think on purpose, which put the stereo type on them and the rest of them...
So this is based on a stereotype rather than your concern about increased crowds? Although I am not gay, I think I can speak for the rest of their community by saying that they are not all like that. I hope you still have a wonderful visit.

does anyone feel me????

I have no clue what that means. I must be getting old.

I do have a question however. If you were there last year for "gay days" and were so offended, why on earth would you book a vacation for the same week this year? There are 51 other weeks to choose from.

get over your self, and chill out, dont put your opinion if you dont want to say anything then, and i am grown up, a nice hot woman, engaged to a man, its great, gods way, thats it

This is not a Disney sanctioned event. Disney can not stop the groups sponsoring this event from holding this event nor should Disney try to take any such actions.

I have been at WDW during Gay Days a couple of years ago and I had no problem with the event. We even had my inlaws with us and they also had no problem with the event. There is nothing wrong with a group expressing itself in an appropriate manner. If being around openingly gay persons during gay days is offensive to you, then you can check the calendar of the event and go to different parks on the days that there are events scheduled at the MK or the other parks.

The 364 other days are straight days. And you can't stand just one day???

It doesn't bother me at all. Actually I would want to see more gay days, not just in WDW, but everywhere else.

It's unfair to those who are proud of who they are. Just imagine how you would feel, if you only get 1 day out of the whole year to BE YOUR SELF.

i chose to go this time because i go to college full time and have a ful time job, so 1: i had to wait for school and finals to be over, and 2: i had to get the time off and this was the onlt appropriate time for us,

EVERYONE NEEDS TO CALM DOWN WITH THE ATTITUDES, I AM NOT A MEAN PERSON, I GUESS EVERYONE IS TAKING THIS THE WRONG WAY, AND IM FEELING LIKE I HAVE TO DEFEND MYSELF WHICH I SHOULDNT, THATS ALL, IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE WHAT I SAID THE WRONG WAY OR DONT LIKE WHAT I SAID, THEN DONT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

Quite simply. If you don't like it change your reservations to another time.
I'll be there enjoying the parks with my daughter and her friends and meeting a cousin who is coming for the week. Was there last year and for the past 3 years. Have a blast every year.
Met neat deaf people every year as well.

Then perhaps you should put your college education to use and explain in clear, concise terminology just exactly what message you are trying to project.
