We're going in Oct. and was thinking of eating lunch there one day. We're on the DP, but we'll be paying OOP for this one. I looked at the menu, and the food sounds really good. I just wanted a few opinions on the food. Thanks

Not lunch, but I had dinner there a couple months ago. The food isn't exactly bad, it just isn't any good. The restaurant is nothing special. Olive Garden is much better, and cheaper.

JMHO.

IMO, the food at Tonys is not very good. It is a beautiful restaurant, and the service is good, but there are much better choices for food. Hop on the resort monorail and try Kona at the Poly or GF Cafe at the GF.

We ate at Tony's in March. After I finally found the place ... that is !! Never knew that I walked by it a million times on several trips. I thought I really knew WDW too ...Anyway, we had a delightful dinner there! Our youngest got Tramp's Ravioli (I think it's called that) and she devoured it. I thought it was going to be a mistake since she's only had spaghettios and buttered noodles for her "Italian" experience. But what a surprise! They served us a "plain" steak for our other daughter ... and it was good .. mine was delicious as well. I would go again ... it's not on for our next trip though ... too many others to try or repeat!!

We went there in Feb, used our DDE. It was fine for lunch, our food was tasty, service was good. Parade was going by so watched that. Nice break to sit down and actually be served at MK. Plus I loved the Lady and the Tramp decor

right on here.

I would not steer families to Tony's, but if you want a place in the MK I would steer you to the Crystal Palace or The Plaza. After that I would direct you to the cafes within the PR or GF to get away from the crowds...you can even take the yatcht to get to the resorts. Also, if you are looking to get a drink (wine/beer) with lunch you can only do this outside of the MK.

I though that it was good, it has a great atmosphere. It was my last meal at WDW ((tear)) and was a nice end to the magic.

This is one restaurant that you will get plenty of mixed reviews about. We really like Tony's. We have eaten there for lunch and dinner (and breakfast once many, many years ago!!). I like lunch better than dinner due to the panini sandwiches. Tony's is one of DH fav. restaurants. It is usually the place we eat a late lunch on our last day :sad1:

DH and I eat lunch at Tony's at least every other trip. As with a previous poster, we like the paninis, too.

Does Tony's count as a TS for DDP? I was wondering if I needed to make an ADR for this place but it doesn't seem like I would...

thanks :)

I would say to get an ADR here. I was there in February and people were getting turned away.

I've heard mixed reviews, but the two times I ate here I was really enjoyed it. I think its a nice atmosphere, and the two waiter's I've had were excellent.
I got the spaghetti with meatballs both times and it was great. I would like to try it for lunch too.

Thanks everyone. I guess it's either you love it, or hate it kind of place. The menu for lunch looks really good and I thought it would be worth trying. I think I will add to one of my days, at least to say I've tried it one time. At least we'll have a good atmosphere and probably good service. ;)
