Anyone eat at Tangaroa Terrace or Trader Sam's?

Stayed at the DLH this past weekend/week, the 11-15th and ate at TT everyday we were there. The breakfast is an awesome value and they were always quick. It was nice to go down, order on the digital board and take it back to the room. It beat the heck out of room service who took over an hour to bring a carafe of hot water for tea and one of hot chocolate. Wish we had known that night that TT is open until 10pm and it would have cost us $5 over the $20 we paid through room service.

We ate breakfast there 3 mornings and had dinner there two nights, all the things we had were excellent and completely worth the value.

Didn't make it over to TS, so I can't comment on that one

For breakfast, they don't have a ton of options, but enough. My sister tried the wrap and said it was just okay. We shared the oatmeal cakes and they were good if you want some sort of oats. They came with greek yogurt and some fruit spread. We stuck with the breakfast box for $6.99 which included like 3 pieces of good size bacon, eggs, biscuit and red potatoes. A decent size portion that was always hot and tasted good. They also have a pastry display and fresh fruit plates. We got the fruit, but for the same plate, it's $2 cheaper in the coffee shop by Goofy's Kitchen. My nephew got the french toast which was good and I think a similar price as the breakfast box. He also got those kid boxes there a few times that include snacks and juice or milk for $5.99.

For dinner, we all shared (on different nights) chicken katsu (excellent!), cheeseburger (what you'd expect), salmon (ehh..), BBQ chicken sandwich, pork kalua flatbread (good). Every night they have different specials on top of a few regular menu items. Each dish comes with either sweet potato fries which were excellent, fried green longbeans which were great and green papaya slaw, which was surprisingly good as well. They had excellent service and were always super quick and friendly. Avoid room service at all costs, this is such a short walk from any of the towers. We stayed in the Fantasy tower, but I don't think it's much longer of a walk from any of them.

We ate at TT last week for breakfast. We thought it was really good. DH and I both had the breakfast wrap. It contained ham, eggs, cheese and avocado. DD10 and DS8 both had the adult French toast. It had powdered sugar, sliced bananas, a fantastic warm caramel sauce, and a side of bacon.

There were 2 things I really liked over DLR's other quick service restaurants. First was the touch screen ordering kiosks. My kids are famous for changing their minds halfway through ordering, which frequently leads to confused order takers, and errors. At the kiosk, we could edit until everyone came to a final decision.

The second thing was that after ordering and paying, the food is brought to the table. It was piping hot, which is hard to do with scrambled egg dishes and French toast!

TT is definitely on our "repeat during the next trip" list.
