Hi: Just wondering if anyone else who will be driving to wdw in the near future thinking of cancelling because of the high gas prices?

Deb.

Nope we won't cancel it was going to be over 900 bucks US for us to fly and even with the price of gas it will still be far cheaper for us to drive. Our trip in may only cost us 175 bucks there and back.

Our trip is this October and we will be pulling a TT, if anything we will cut costs on other things ....but the Disney trip is still on
it will be worth every penny.
:teeth:

Nope! We are still going, even if it's a 30 hrs drive so that means a lot more $$$, but nothing to compare with airfare cost for the 5 of us from Montreal!!!

We were going to drive but ended up getting a SWA fare for $49 each way. Total was $231 USD or $281 CAD all in for all three of us...baby flys for free.

No changes here either. The gas prices may be up but at least the exchange rate isn't the 1.60 it was a few years ago.
Cost is all relative. Our gas usually is about $150.00. Double it and it's still not going to cancel a trip that costs thousands.

Our $40 fare is looking better and better though. We drove in May and spent $280USD I can only guess it would cost $350+ now.

Rain, nor sleet, nor dark of night nor high gas prices will keep us from our Disney Vacation!!!!!! :rotfl: Oh well just have to try to save a little extra for the gas!

nor high gas prices will stop us either! :moped: DH and I are still planning to drive in January. I'd rather not take the chance of the airline company I was flying with going under while I was in Disney.
With gas prices being so high right now, and with the possibility of them remaining high, I need to find more ways to save money.
Our trip to Disney keeps me motivated. :wizard:
