Anyone done Fantasmic Dessert Package lately??

Uh-oh...I just read ballarinamom's post where it says you have to show Guest Services the credit card you paid with. I used dh's credit card and won't be taking it with me (he's not coming, just dd and I). Will that be a problem? Will they not give me the tickets? Nothing was said about that over the phone. The CM just told me to bring picture ID.

I had to show the credit card for my booking last year.

But you are correct, when I booked for next month they told me to bring picture ID and didnt mention the credit card. When I asked I was informed that picture ID was sufficient.

So either we spoke to the same misinformed CM or the rules have recently changed. ;)

DH and I had seats for the early show on Sunday, 9/27. We got in line about 7:30 and was able to get a second row in the middle. We could have gotten a front row seat off to the left a little but we opted for center.

This was our first trip to DL and it was the only night we could watch F! so we opted for the reserved seats. We were glad we did when we saw people starting to save space for the show around 5:00...WOW! I can't imagine waiting for 4 hours for F! We got in line at 7:30 and was done checking in by 8:10 and then we had about 30 min before getting our seats. It was nice having a seat on a chair. The dessert trays were yummy...we had left overs. The hostess was very friendly constantly offering additional beverages up unitl the show and then again after the show. She also told us we could stay in our seats to watch the fireworks. Great view of the fireworks, but you couldn't see Jack or the overlay on the castle, but there was no way we were going to get from our seats to a better viewing location...it was completely packed. So, at the end of the day we were both very happy with our decision and thought it was worth the money!!!

Vala, thanks for your response! I guess I'll call and double check. I'll let you know what I find out, or at least what the next CM tells me ;)

I just reserved yesterday for Fri the 23rd. I was surprised they still had seats, but the first show was sold out and we got the 10:30 one. It seems the earlier show is by far the preferred one because the CM told me there were plenty of seats left at the 10:30 one.

My question: with the crowd levels expected to be extremely high on Oct. Fridays, what is our best strategy for getting back to Fantasmic area for our show? Would it be safe to leave that side of the park (we would like to go see the fireworks from near the castle), or would we maybe get caught in the post-fireworks body crush and possibly not be able to return?

And after the late show, is it better to exit the park by walking back out or taking the train all the way around to Main St. from NOS? I really, really hate walking through tight crowds. I'm very short and it makes me very uncomfortable.

Ok, so I called and asked about having to bring the credit card with you on which you made the purchase. I was told that you no longer have to do that :cool1: as long as you have the confirmation number and photo ID.

Thanks for checking, DizMe.

Until the other post I really didn't doubt that CM. I've seen rules changing out of the blue way too often lately.

So I've decided to bite the bullet and do this for our anniversary trip. Can you buy tickets 60 days in advance like PS or is it 30 days?

Hey Dizme!

A few of us ladies, and our kids will be hanging out at the dessert buffet at the same time!!

We plan to watch the fireworks first, and then make our way over to the buffet afterwards. We should have enough time to get there, I would think!

I hope!

See you there! :goodvibes

Ah!! Cool!!! I thought I was going to miss you guys--I started my planning when I only had one night (Thurs), and made ressies for ToT Party. Then when I was able to add Fri, I couldn't change things around to be in the mini-meet plans. So glad to hear some of you guys are going to be at F! Fri!!
I don't know if you remember, but we met last year in that same area when I noticed your LGMH :goodvibes. I was with my sister.
