On the Magical Cruise Guide (thank you so much Entropy), there are rave reviews about this excursion.

It's just a little confusing as to when you can go back to the ship and how. DCL says that it is a 4-7 hour excursion, but they don't give many details.

It also says that if you book it through DCL, you won't get there until around 11:00 although you leave the ship at something like 9:30. The cruise to the Lagoon looks fun though.

Since this is our first full day, I would like to go to Blue Lagoon and get back to the ship at a nice time and explore it.

Has anyone done this? What is your input?

Hi CRB#33

We did the Blue Lagoon Beach Day during our April 2000 DCL cruise. We all (DH, DS-13, DD-15 and myself) enjoyed it very much. There is snorkeling in the open ocean (I believe the equipment cost extra) and we saw lots of fish, plant life and coral. There is also a wonderful lagoon with warm, shallow, slow moving water. The food was at best just okay.

The boat trip was a lot of fun with a band and a limbo contest. When we went there were 3 different times you could take the boat back to the ship - I believe they were around 1, 3 and 5 pm.

From what I read on these boards about Nassau I am glad we did the Blue Lagoon trip. It really is a lovely little private island.:D

Thanks somuch DIZ-Me!

Anyone else's opinions?? :)

Thanks for the info on this..... Has anyone else on these boards done the Blue Lagoon Beach Day???? I have heard both good and bad reports and want to hear more from the experts!!!!:D

Hi all-

Does anyone know where we can find some pictures of the Blue Lagoon and also detailed excursion review info? We are in debate about Atlantis beach day excursion. Is the Blue Lagoon excursion nice? We will have 3 adults and 2 youngsters. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

We went in the month of December. Took our two boys 8 and 12. The boat going to the Blue Lagoon is nothing great. We road on top and that was fun. Take a water bottle. It is very warm. The trip on the boat was neat to see the sights and very pretty. Wish there was someone to tell us what everything was.
Blue Lagoon was very pretty. The Lagoon area is really shallow. It was fun to hang out but the incoming or outgoing current can become strong. We snorkled around and saw very little. It was nice to relax on the beach and the the kids enjoyed playing in the water and sand.
You can see the dolphins from the beach too. I wish we brought bonculars to look at them.
They have lots of hammacks to swing in. Seems like we didn't have time for that. The food there was ok. Bring your own drinks. They are not included in the the meal that is provided.
The ocean area was closed because of low tide. We were disappointed because we really wanted to snorkel. The kids weren't into snorkling as much as we were.
All in all, I am glad that we went. Always a few cliches. Christine.
