If so, please share your experience and any advice. (I sure wish they would get rid of this horrible rule or at least move it up to noon. It would make all the difference when you want to just pop into a park in the morning for a ride or two and move on to another park!)

yes many have done it, or even all four. what advice do you need? you can't get into a second park until right about 2:00, and as long as you have tapped into the first park you have a reservation for, the other 3 parks are open for you to go. Other than the one afternoon at MK on the actual anniversary, hopping has not been restricted.

Just interested in what parks people chose to go to, the order they used, and their transportation choices. The 2:00 rule is what I was referring to in my OP.

Haven't done it yet, but planning a 3 park day on our short trip in January. We have a full MK day, but will do the 3 other parks on another day. Will start at AK (because my daughter wants cheeseburger pods for lunch lol). Will leave at 1:30 for DHS so we can enter at 2. Will stay until around 6, then head to Epcot for dinner, maybe Harmonious, and maybe Guardians ride. That one will be tricky though.

I'm really annoyed because this would be so much easier if we could hop earlier. We could eat at AK and leave around noon, giving more time at DHS.

Some of my family (more specific at my parents, younger sister, and I) went to 3 parks on the last day of our trip in May, on a Friday. We started the morning at MK, where we had reservations. We were staying at AoA in a Finding Nemo suite and took the bus. At around 2pm, my younger sister and brother took the 2 children back to our room for some rest/go in the pool. My mom wanted to get beignets from French Quarter and so we took a bus from MK to the resort to get them for her. That whole part took about an hour and we were on our way to Epcot by 3:40pm. I’m going off of the time on pictures I have on my phone.

We wanted to stop by the new Creations Shop but forgot that this was the day Guardians of the Galaxy opened, May 27. We were in Epcot by 4pm. The whole trip there lasted about 2 hours with us only going to Creations Shop, there was a line, and getting a melon ice from the Japan booth. My parents wanted to stay for the concert that night and see the first show at like 6pm so my younger sister and I made our way to the Skyliner to head to Hollywood Studios to meet up with the others.

We were on our way to Hollywood Studios by 5:50pm and we’re walking down Hollywood Boulevard by 6:20pm. My parents and younger brother joined us later after some rain/lightning delayed the Skyliner, but we stayed there until close.

It was fairly painless, going to different parks. The longest we waited was for the bus from MK to French Quarter and to go from French Quarter to Epcot. The latter is probably because there are like 5 different resort stops for how large the resort is. Other than that, everything was relatively easy to do but it could’ve been because we had a clear plan on what we set out to do. This was also the last day of our week-long vacation so it was more like we were finishing up what we wanted to do in every park, like shopping and a couple rides.

We routinely go to a park like HS or AK in the morning, take a break, head to EP in the early evening for a couple of hours to grab F&W snacks and drinks, and take the monorail to MK to close it down.

The order you wish to do the parks will be influenced by
1. Which park do you want do spend the most time in? I’d recommend doing that as your first park.

2. Park hours. You will most likely want to choose the last park as the one with the latest hours. E.g. you probably won’t want to choose AK as your final park or MK if it’s a party day.

3. Transportation in the morning will depend on where you’re staying and where you’re going. AK access is only via bus. MK-EP is monorail. MK-DHS bus. The only one with mist options is DHS-EP as you can choose between Skyliner, Friendship boat or walking.

Hope this helps.

I do it often, I don't plan it, it just happens. I'll start my morning in park #1 and hang out there until around noon or 1 and maybe grab something to eat. Then I go back to my resort for some quality pool/rest/nap time. I usually leave my resort around 3 or 4 and go to park #2, which more often than not is Epcot since there is usually a festival going on and most of my non-breakfast meals come from the booths. After snacking and maybe riding a ride or two, I'll hop to park #3. Since I'm not a planner and never make anything other than part reservations in advance, if I want a sit down meal, I'll just grab that during the day. That will sometimes determine what one of my hops will be. I tend to do split stays with the first night or two in a value or moderate then I switch over to an Epcot resort.

Example I'm staying at ASMov for 2 nights then switching to Dolphin for 4 nights. I drive down from north Ga. and usually arrive between 1 and 3. On arrival day I drop my bags in my room if ready and go to Epcot to eat. After I've snacked some and ridden a few rides, I usually hop over to MK, which is normally where my first full day reservation is because to get there from Dolphin you are dropped at TTC but from All Stars you go to the entrance. I might spend a few hours at MK and either hop back to Epcot or retire for the evening.

1st full day maybe grab some breakfast at food court if I'm up early enough or go ahead and go to MK. Do whatever at MK until around 12:30 or 1 then go back to the resort and rest. Since I'm at a value resort, not much to do so around 3 I'll hop over to AK and grab a table at Nomad Lounge then spend a few hours riding a few rides like Navi and Dino. Then I'll hop to HS cause I love it at night. I might ride a ride or two or just shop.

Day 2 is an AK day (remember I was there the night before and knocked out a few rides) so I go eat breakfast load my car and check out since Safari doesn't open until park open, no reason to get there early. I'll ride a few rides, watch some shows, shop around and leave around noon or 1. Go move my car over to Dolphin. Go to Epcot for something to eat and maybe ride a ride or two. Hop over to HS and ride a ride or two.

Day 3 is probably a HS day, I've already been there two nights and knocked out a ride or two so not in any hurry to get there unless I want to ride RoTR, sometime I do, sometime I don't. Ride a few rides, grab a table at HBD lounge and leave around 12:30 or 1. Go to the pool for some quality hot tub/refreshing adult beverage time. Around 4, after showering, I'll go to whatever park suits my fancy. I might just do a two hop that day. I've already done 3 afternoons at Epcot, a morning and evening at MK.

Day 4 and 5 are just do whatever days. I'll most likely have my reservations at Epcot one day and probably MK another but who knows what I'll do after two those days.

That was just an example, I really am pretty loose and just go where my feet take me. I've been known to do 4 parks without even trying. I only use Disney transportation even though I have my car there. I've found that by going to the park at night that I've got reservations for the next day, usually takes some stress off the OMG I have to rush around mind set. MK is my least favorite park, I only have a few must dos there and try to catch at least one parade during the week. I might or might not do the FWs there. Since I'm height challenged the projection based ones aren't much fun for me but I might find a spot off to the side somewhere so I can just see the FWs and see Tink fly and I'm good. I love the Epcot night time show and try to catch it at least once and when Fantasmic comes back, I'll be there.

You make it sound so easy! I get too easily frustrated with Disney transportation and feel like I lose so much time hopping around. I'm really hoping this isn't a stressful day for me since this will be our last park day for the trip, and we don't plan on going back for awhile. I have the pressure of getting my last favorite rides in before the end of the day. Despite this, I hope I can have your laid-back approach.

We did it in December 2021 - but we pretty much just zipped in and out of 1 park for a dining reservation. We were a party of 3 adults which definitely makes things easier. We started our day at Epcot then took the skyline over to HS to eat at Sci-Fi at 2:30 PM. Then we went back to our room for a little break. We ventured out later that evening to MK. We were staying at Boardwalk and had the EMH from 10-12 that night which we wanted to take advantage of. Overall, hopping between Epcot and HS is a breeze due to the skyliner.

My husband and I did it last July. We actually did all the park and MK twice.
Stayed at BLT. Decided we would try to ride two rides per park and head back to MK for fireworks.

1. MK - Rope dropped MK. Left MK around 11:30, lunch at Contempo Cafe

2. AK - took the bus and arrived too early to get in. Waited by the Rain Forest entrance with the misters cooling us off. Let into AK at 1:53.

3. HS - bus from AK. I think we arrived a little before 4 pm. We did single rider at RNRC and Star tours before heading to Epcot.

4. Epcot - Around 5ish, we walked from HS. We ate at a quick service dinner at the American Pavillion.

5. Back to MK via monorail around 7:15pm. I think we were walking into MK just shy of 8:00. We found a great spot for the fireworks show and my husband went to get us an ice cream sundae to share.

We had so much fun that day. We are planning to do it again this trip.

It helps that I go often so don't have to ride all the rides. I actually enjoy Disney transportation, it gives me time to relax and just take it easy. If it's your last park day, I'm assuming you will have spent time at the other parks doing what you want, or close to it. For me, it just happens, I don't really think about it and going the night before helps as well. If I've knocked out a few rides the night before I don't feel like I need to rush. I also don't feel like I must hop 3 times or 4 times and I don't set any goals. I really am a go with the flow person. Park is too crowded, fine, I'll just hop somewhere else or even go back to the resort and swim or rest or even go explore other resorts. I'm also aware that WDW is huge and there is no way possible to do everything so why try.

Yes, definitely have done this. We aren't park commandos though, and just like to pop into different parks to do whatever catches our fancy. For example, we may have a lazy breakfast & enjoy the pool for awhile, then go to MK because I wanted to watch the parade, then we hop to HS to ride Star Tours (it was my DD's favourite ride for about 3 days). Then we go to Epcot for a quick bite around the festival booths and to watch the fireworks. Pretty relaxing overall :)

You all are giving me hope for my plans. My plans seem simple compared to what you all have accomplished.
It's best to just go with the flow. We set a goal of two rides. per pack, but ultimately, we were willing to abandon that plan if necessary. The day was fun and tiring but not stressful.

So if your MUSTS are three rides in three different parks, would you recommend buying G+ to save time on standing in line?

We did that in January. We took the bus from AKV to HS, the took the bus to MK just after lunch. We stayed in MK until the fireworks were done, then headed straight to the monorail to EPCOT. Made it there just in time for harmonious, and the extended evening hours. It was my dads only day at the parks, so we got genie+ and made the best of it. We did make sure to sleep in the following morning though.

Yes, the rule is dumb but I don't see it going away anytime soon since it's been in place for quite some time since they allowed PH.

We have done it a few times and it's usually out of necessity since we make plans to visit the parks fairly late, maybe a week so prior to our visit so we had to book a park reservation for Epcot or AK and then hop to DHS/MK if we wanted to go to those parks. It's really just been a byproduct of the dumb park reservation system which definitely also needs to go.

We usually start the day at park opening for Epcot/AK, we will sometimes use G+ and sometimes won't bother since I don't like having to manage the times and have a more relaxing visit.

When we start at Epcot, we'll knock out the headliners early and then if we do decide to do G+, we will book times for later in the day so we know we have ample time to get to the park. We use the monorail to get from Epcot to MK and buses for DHS/AK. I am sure it's not the most efficient use of time but it can work. I don't love PH so it's not really my favorite thing to do but it is pretty cool to be in multiple parks throughout the day. If you are going to use G+ to try to minimize waiting in line, I really only think it's needed for MK and DHS. I would recommend iLL$ for Guardians if you want to ride that but I wouldn't bother with G+ for Epcot or AK. Not enough attractions to justify the cost.

I would just review the park hours on the days you're there to make the most of your time and be sure you practice using G+ some before you go so you understand how it works.
