Anyone do the magical wishes silver package---we AP holders yet had a friend point this program out to me---the silver seems like a great buy--similar to the fun and food card from a few years back---we used the f & f and it was a great deal for $53 per adult and $48 per kids you got breakfast or lunch and then dinner at just about most of the resturants in WDW

so let me know

I would like info on this too!

We have booked our stay at Polynesian 2/14 -2/17 with the Silver Package. We too are interested if anyone has used it. I have asked on the boards about the viewing of the parades feature but so far.. no one has used it. I will keep checking.;)

We did the Silver Plan in October and LOVED it. Since we are not big breakfast eaters we used the wishes for lunches and dinners. We are big into gourmet (especially DS at 11 who eats more than me). We thought this was a great value because for lunch and dinner we had appetizers, soup/salad, entree and even dessert. As soon as your server comes to the table if you mention you are on the Plan then they can't seem to do enough, suggest enough, etc., etc. I know it was just my imagination but I have never - ever - had that consistent, attentive, cheerful service at every single meal!! Some of the restaurants do require 2 wishes for dinner but its still worth it if you like to try new things and enjoy a gourmet meal.

The tip is already built into the meal but I always tipped extra once I found out their tip was less than 20%. Wine though is extra but milkshakes, smoothies, kid drinks are endless and included.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Now, I'm making myself hungry. We return in February on the Plan again and can't wait.:p

What about the parade viewings? Do you go to any of them? Did you have to get there real early for the parade?

THanks....

Jonesboro,

1st of all, hello from Athens!

We were offered and utilized the "reservation concept" for Illuminations, MK Fireworks and the AK Parade - that was all that was offered in our October package.

The Illuminations area is a roped off like boat pavillion where you stand - we literally got there 5 minutes before and were not at a rail but could see perfectly - you also have a bathroom right at Morroco(if you have a little one or a long ride back somewhere).

The AK parade viewing was great - right on the bridge - but if it is a hot or sunny day you might opt for a shadier spot - in Oct this was not an issue.

The MK fireworks was again a roped off area but the park ended up not really being that crowded on our night so we did not have to use it.

You can make the reservations when you make any PS.

Hope this helps.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thank You so much.... you have just made our day with that explanation! Hope you have a great weekend!!!!:) :) :) :)

I will be leaving on 1/25, staying to 2/1 at BWI and we booked the Silver Package. I think that if you just used it for the two meals per day, it won't absorb the extra cost. My DH and I loved the Fall Fantasy and Sunshine getaway packages, because they included breakfast. We would usually have a good breakfast, wouldn't be hungry for lunch, and would just eat dinner. We aren't big into expensive restaurants, so I want to make sure we get the most for our money.
The cost for us to upgrade was an extra $900. We plan to use the wishes for golf, keys to the kingdom tour, and definitely some meals.
I'll let you know how it goes!

I posted some info on the Silver & Bronze Plans here on the DIS: click here to go to the 2003 Silver & Bronze Plan thread. I haven't done either of those plans, but in the past have done the Grand Plan (2003's name for it is the "Platinum Plan"). If you can take advantage of what any of those plans have to offer, the convenience is worth their weight in Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum. ;)

Thanks to everyone..... We have booked our times... with the exception of Fantasy in the Sky.... we have to wait until 10 days out to book that. We are hoping by the time we get to Disney World we will know how early we need to get there to see the parade/fireworks each day. Thanks again

We used the pacakge in the past October. I think it was called "Discovery Magic" package back then. Anyways, some people believe, money wise, the package does not save any more than doing it a la carte. But, it did save us money and gave us more than just money saving. First, we only used it on food since food is very expensive at WDW. Also, the wishes are all inclusive, from meal cost to tips, so we could just eat whatever we want and order the most expensive item off the menu. How often can we do that in a restaurant?

We will definitely do the package again next time when we go back to WDW.
