Anyone cancelling FL Resident rate? June 23rd ASM?

This is a long, long shot but worth a try! My parents want to join us at Disney. They were able to get the Florida resident rate for 2 of the three nights they wanted. Florida resident rate wasn't available for All Star Music for June 23rd. If anyone out there is from Florida and happens to be releasing ressies for ASM for June 23rd, please pm me first so we can coordinate! Thanks!

I wish you luck. My understanding from these boards is that there are so many rooms with codes. When someone cancels their reservation that had a code, that room is not able to be rented with a code again. The room may be available, the code might not be.

Hopefully someone can explain this better than me.

This doesn't have anything to do with codes. This room rate is available for Florida residents only but capacity is limited. I'm still hoping that someone who lives in Florida has ressies for ASMu for June 23rd that they will be releasing.

technically the Florida Resident rates are codes, which change with every seasons FL Res. rates. You just usually don't have to give the code, because they usually know it.

Even if you find a group of FL Res folks that cancel their rooms for that night, there is no guarantee that it will be immediately available to FL Res'. Disney only puts out discounts when they need it and if the rooms are close to sold out, they will not sell it at a FL Res discount, but at rack since they know the demand is there to fill the resort at the higher price! My recommendation would be to keep calling, I here inventory availability is best first thing in the morning and late evening.

Thanks, everyone. I'll just keep trying. Called CRO and they said that it would help if I knew that someone was cancelling as there are only a certain number of rooms in that category and if one opened up I could grab it!
