Anyone bought and used TRU extended warranty?

I bought an extended warranty for my son's ipod touch that covers accidents. Well lo and behold today he dropped it and cracked the screen. Did you have a hard time getting your ipod replaced? Anything special I need to say or do to make the process go smoother? I need to get the warranty out and read it to see what all I need to do but figured I'd ask her first to get some feedback. Thanks
