Hi. My family and I are going to WDW next August. Iam hoping to book AKL for 7 nights from the 24th.
Iam going to book the flydrive with TCD as there price is the best by miles...£1800 for 2adults and 2 kids. :cool1:

Now How on earth do I book this dining plan everyone is talking about?
I understand I need to book a package as in accomadation and tickets, thats fine but Do I just call up disney and do this over the phone myself. I think my accomadation will be around£800 and then the dining plan £400 plus a one day MYW ticket x 4 about £130.
How much of this would I pay now?
IF anyone has booked this I would be really grateful for any help! :wizard:

We booked the dining plan direct with Disney, we had to make two reservations as you are not allowed the dining plan for more than ten nights - we booked the first 10 nights on the Disney website - I use the US site .com not the UK one. We then had to phone to book the last 4 nights as the website was playing up - so we have done it both ways.

We did what you plan to, by the sounds of it, and just bought the one day MYW passes - we had to get two each, one for each reservation - we plan to get an annual pass when we get there and will use the first of the 1 day tickets towards the cost of that. We will save the other one for the next trip - maybe to put towards our September 2006 Annual Passes!!

You will have no probem booking it over the phone yourself - you don't have to pay it all off at time of booking - just a deposit and then you pay the rest off by 45 days before departure. I am not sure what % the deposit is, as we were already within the 45 days when we booked so we had to pay the whole thing off.

Good luck with your booking, I dream of stating in the AK Lodge one day too!

We booked our Dining Plan through BA Holidays for 14 nights.

I keep seeing these comments about not being able to book the plan through British tour operators, but I've had no problem at all.

That's interesting Richard that you can book more than ten with BA Holidays - something to look into for future trips - if the price is the same as direct with Disney - some of the UK operators I have looked at (I didn't look at BA Holidays) were charging more for the plan than Disney was. Of course it depends waht kind of deal you get - if the cost otherwise was good it would be worth paying a little more for the dining plan. I will check out BA Holidays for a future trip - it seems sensible that they do offer the plan to Brits for longer since we do make longer trips.

In our case though, for this trip, we are lucky enough to be going during the free dining promotion - so of course we had to book direct with Disney to get all that free food!!

We booked with Disney direct in london, we noticed on the usa site the maximun you could book was 10 nights.

so we rang the disney travel company in London and booked 14 nights with tickets and dinning plan.
