Anyone been to Wyndham I drive lately?

Are they still doing construction? We are staying there the night before our cruise in December on my bday. I am hoping it will be ok as I have heard mixed reviews.

We were there in April so I do not know if that would be what you consider lately or not. We were very disapointed with our room this trip. We have stayed there many times through Priceline but this last time it was dirty and smelly. We had to go buy some plug-in air fresheners to be able to breath. Had a hard time getting things re-stocked also.

Can't tell you anything about the construction. Did not see any near the hotel but more down I drive near the Civic Center.

My wife and I stayed there in April for 5 nights. There was construction going on but we thought the resort was great & great value. Mind you, we are from the UK and we always like your hotels. We have visited Vegas; NYC; Washington; Memphis; SF & Orlando. Only the hotel in Washington disappointed us. US hotels are generally have much bigger & better rooms than in the UK and are better value. I think Americans have higher expectations than us Brits

I think the problem we had was because of the changes in how they handle the Priceline guests. Like I said before we have stayed there several times all through Priceline and have the Wyndham by Request membership so before that trip we had always gotten a wonderful room with no problems. But earlier that year they stopped honoring Wyndham by Request memberships if the room was through Priceline or Hotwire. The room we ended up with was in bad condition and needed quite a bit of work. We were right near I-Drive which of course also made the romm very noisy. Before we had always been in the rear of the property near the pool and the greenery.

If your room is not through Priceline then you should have a wonderful room.
