Anyone been to Tutto Italia (new Italy TS) yet?

I stopped by there yesterday and looked the menu--it is significantly more expensive than Alfredo's was! Has anyone been yet? How was it?

And you are surprised because......? Disney knows only one direction for any service, restaurant or admission.

Does anyone know where I can see a menu for this? Thanks!

I don't see where they said they were surprised. They were just making an informative statement.:thumbsup2

OP-I just read a post in the other thread active right now about Tutto Italia. They thought it was really good and better than the previous restaurant.

See post #25 here:

Thanks! I will read that thread.

The higher prices didn't surprise me, I actually love it when they raise prices. DH is a Disney professional so when Disney makes money it's good for us.***

For what it's worth, I ate there on Friday. We had late dinner reservations at Spoodles but needed to eat earlier and couldn't really get a reservation at any of our other favorite restaurants. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait but we only waited for about 2 minutes before we were seated.

The food was expensive but it was verrrry good! I had a bellini to drink and then we got some complementary bread. We also got some vegetables, some balsamic vinegar and olive oil, some olives and garlic and some kind of greenish spread that was very good (Sorry..I dont remember what it was exactly). It was nice.

My mom and I split an appetizer, entree, and dessert. For an appetizer we had the eggplant capanata(sp?) which was very good and then we had a "Caprese" pasta with tomatoes, basil and mozarella cheese. It was really wonderful. We had the chocolate hazlenut torte for dessert and it was so rich that we couldn't finish it. Two bites and I had enough!!

Anyway, it was very good and I would go back again. I dont think I would order the preplated dinner because I could never eat all that food. But I would definitely try eating there is you have the time and money!

Does anyone know if they are accepting the DDP?

On the other thread mentioned here, it says it counts as 1 TS on the DDP, which is a really awesome value, I think.

I'm glad you liked the eggplant and caprese, robin, those were two things I thought looked really good.

I just posted this in another thread, but will repost here for you...

My daughter and I ate at Tutto Italia last night, and they do not take DDE.

Having said that, this was one of the best meals I have ever had at WDW (and this is my 46th trip so I have had many meals there!). My daughter had the Ligurian Trofie Pasta for dinner, and it was out of this world delicious! I had the Lasagna al Forno. This was one of the best lasagna's I have had. What made it so good was the sauce. Instead of it being a heavy tomato-paste sauce, it was more of a stewed/crushed tomato sauce which kept a normally heavy meal on the light side. The meat was also excellent. My daughter, who does not eat meat in her lasagna, took a taste and loved it even. For dessert my daughter had the Gianduja Chocolate Gelati. If you like dark, cocoa-y chocolate, you will love this! Incredible. I had the Mocha Tiramisu, which was excellent. We both agreed it was a wonderful dinner!

Yes, it is definitely on the pricey side, but in my opinion it was worth it compared to what we have eaten and paid at other WDW restaurants!

YUM! I love lasagna!

This is definitely going on our must try list...

Yes, we went on the 15th for a cast thing. It was very good. We got to try a lot of things on the menu and all were very good! A step up from Alfredos (and I liked Alfredos.)

Well, in light of all these good reviews, I'm going to have to rearrange my ADR schedule. Can't wait to try it....

I am bummed they don't take DDE. Does anyone know if you get a savings with an AP or DVC card?

No DDE and they are in the park...we won't be going. I wonder if the manager needs a hint??? Time to email disney.

Well, I dont know about anyone else's experience but we were able to use the DDE card when we went there. Actually, we ended up getting a pretty significant discount there. Our bill was about $60 and we got $20 off with our DDE. We couldn't figure out why there was such a significant discount!

the review linked above mentions the family she met using the DDP. Does that mean it is on the plan?

Thinking I'm going to call and find out as soon as hubby gets of the phone or I can locate my cell phone...easier said than done after my 7 year old called Grandma from it a few hours ago. ;)

We just got back and we ate there on Tuesday night. I took pictures, which I will post later. They do take DDP and our meal was very good. With the exception of my main course which was extremly heavy. Probably just a bad meal choice for my taste. Everything else was great!:thumbsup2
