How is the fairly new Paradise Beach in Cozumel? Everything that I am hearing is positive, but we would love some feedback from a DIS addict. Thanks! :boat:

We went there on the 11/6 cruise and it is as good, if not better, than the reviews here on the DIS. The beach was clean, as were the facilities, the food was good and reasonable and it was a nice afternoon. I'd definately recommend it! Please ask any specific questions.

We are headed there in a couple of weeks. I will definately post a trip report when we return and give you details on Paradise Beach!!

We had an excellent day there in September, which ALMOST made up for missing Castaway Cay because of Hurricane Jeanne. Easy to get to, very clean, excellent food!

I was there in April and it was fabulous! Nice sand, beautiful water, lots of comfortable chairs and tables, great food, generous portions and not expensive at all, friendly service; couldn't complain about anything at all. We went intending to stay for about 3 hours and stayed for about 5 hours; would have stayed longer except the ship was leaving! Only $12 for the taxi one way. No problem getting a taxi there or back to the pier. We had a great time there!

Does anyone remeber if you need to bring your own beach towels or if they have them there??

You do need to bring your own towels. I went up to the pool and grabbed some before getting off the ship, there are no need to bring your own from home.

We were at PB on about the worst day you could be there. It was the week of Thanksgiving(Magic) and there was 11 ships in Cozumel that day. Well the Magic was one of the last to dock that morn, so we were about the last to make it to PB. It was packed. The wind was really blowing the waves in. We were about to give up and get a cab somewhere else, when on of the waiters there found us an umbrella and some chairs in the rear of the beach. Well, DW likes to be able to see the water, but we figured everywhere would be crowded this day, so we stayed. I am glad we did. After a little while we were able to move to a chair closer to the water. We were right next to some DIS friends that we had met.(Nice) Our waiter was fantastic. He would literally RUN tending to his guests. We ate at the restaurant upstairs and the food was very good. Great view from up there. The kids paid $5 for a wristband that let them use the water trampoline, iceberg, kayaks, etc for the whole day. No charge for your umbrella. But if you wander down past the PB area, those folks WILL charge you for a chair. DW and DD got great massages for $1 per minute.
I talked to PB Tom, who I guess is the manager and he said that it was the busiest day they have ever had. He gave me a few extra Coronas for my bucket. I will definetly go back there again my next cruise. You can find some pictures at their website. I am not sure what the exact link is, but you can go to Cruise critic. com boards and lokk under destinations and then Cozumel for a ton of info on Paradise Beach. It is not a secret any longer.

WMILLER86.........where were you when that top picture was taken?? It is a wonderful picture!!

thanks...... :flower1:

We were at PB a couple of weeks ago when we were on the 12/04 Western. By far, it was our best day of the cruise. My two children, DD6 & DS5, had a wonderful time. They are asking to go back to "that beach". They did not want to go back to the ship. There were also alot of ships in that day, but when we got to BP it was not very crowded at all. Have a great time!!!

Okay, I was thinking of NOT getting off the ship in Cozumel, but everyone is making PB sound so good. My dd's wanted to stay and to do activities in the lab this time, you know, put their face on a mouse pad. BUT.....this place sounds great. So please tell me, how do you get there? Is it an excursion or something you do on your own......

thanks :flower1:

No, there is no excursion to PB. Just take a cab and tell the cab "Paradise Beach". The one way fare was $13 which I believe was a set price.

We appreciate all of the input, it really helps. It appears to be a really great place, and we will be spending our day there. Thanks also for the info on the pictures WMILLER86! :Pinkbounc
