Can you drive? If so that would probably be the easiest way. The Eurotunnel (not to be confused with the Eurostar) transports cars across the Channel. You drive your car onto a train at Folkestone and drive off at Calais in France.
You could also fly/ get the Eurostar and then rent a car if you’d rather not drive long distances. In the UK we drive on the left, but in France like you it’s on the right. Using public transport would be quite difficult if you want to go to more remote places.
