I was wondering if anyone has done the My Disney Girl’s Perfectly Princess Tea Party?

How was it and do you feel it was worth the $ ?

I'm in WDW now and attended the party on 6/17. I had 2 DD's with me, 6 and 11. I paid the adult price for the 11 yr. old because I didn't think she needed the doll.

They are still working out some of the kinks, but I thought it was very nice. There were about 15 girls when we were there. Everyone had a pre-assigned table, which made it very orderly.

My only negative comment, would be the food. I did notice that not many people ate, and I think that this has been a concern because we were each asked about the choice of food.

The "princesses" are served peanut butter/jelly tea sandwiches and ham/cheese tea sandwiches with grapes and apple juice, Most of them were too excited to eat. The adults were served chicken salad, egg salad and salmon sandwiches with grapes and tea, as well as some slices of hard cheese and crackers. Unfortunately I don't like onions and each of the salads contained onions. Not a problem, as the menu was not why I chose to go. However, not many ate and the cast members were looking for feedback.

They also served strawberry shortcake which was very good.

Any further questions, let me know.

Thanks!

DisneyPoly, how was the quality of the bracelet, tiara, etc? I remember reading some reviews from the trial run that said the quality was very poor.

How much time do the little princesses get to spend with Aurora? I know that will be the highlight for my little one.

Thank you DisneyPoly for the helpful reply !

I also would like to know the quality of the doll and other items the girls receive.

I too would like info. for how much time Princess Aurora spends with each child.

Hi. This sounds like it would be a wonderful, expensive experience for my 2 dd's. $325 seems like an awful lot, but it is Disney After all! Is this event a 90 day ps? Is it as difficult to obtain as CRT? I also would like to know abou the doll. Is it a barbie size doll? Is is of Aurora?

My other questions is should we include DH in this event?

Thanks,
Shellie

We went there on 6/25 and loved every minute of the party. My daughter actually posted about it (See Tea for Two, Aurora & You). The food wasn't exceptional. In fact, we really didn't eat much. I didn't appreciate the sandwich selection and the hard cheeses were too strong for me. The cake was lovely, but the strawberry mousse was too gelatinous. But, the food wasn't the reason we went. Every other aspect of the party was exquisite. The decorations, the tea service, the songs, the party favors, the moments with Aurora.......I'm getting teary eyed just remembering how excited my DD was. It was worth every penny. From the rose petal and crown greeting to the final hug goodbye, my heart was full and my daughter enthralled. If you can afford the expense, don't miss the chance to do this with your little princess!

It was princess wonderful! The girls get a My Disney Girl Doll dressed like Sleeping Beauty. I also got a crown and a rose petal greeting. I got a charm bracelet. I visited with Aurora for about 5 minutes and she gave me a rose. And, of course, it didn't have any thorns! We also got a scrapbook kit. Aurora was princess beautiful! I think you should take your little girls.

FYI for those planning on making reservations for this.
I think I read on another thread that ressies were only
going to be taken thru early Oct. because this tea was on a
trial run.

The information I got was that it was running through October 2nd which was disappointing for us since we won't be there until the 19th. I'm hoping they will extend the event.

JRoglitz: I read your other post about the CM saying it was a trial run too. This may just be wishful thinking, but I was wondering if the CM made a mistake (maybe because it's too early to make a PS for 10/19). Nothing I've read about the tea indicates that it was another trial run. I was hoping to take DD as a surprise in Dec., but on the bright side I'd save $265 if they don't offer it when we go. :)

I'm working with DreamsUnlimitedTravel and she called and got the information but is going to keep an eye out.

Does anyone know if the Princess Tea has been extended past October 2? I'd like to do this during our December trip, but am considering doing it in August if it won't be around by December.
