Hi! We rebooked our March trip to WL to August at WL and have been Now changed to garden view room at Contemporary. I am just not feeling it😰😳. Just wondering if anyone has any recent reviews to share to help me feel more excited about garden view Contemporary? We have stayed there before but it’s been a while and we were in a MK view room, just not sure we will like it?

I am wondering the same! We got moved for Dec to the Contemporary and I am not feeling it...

We stayed at Contemporary end of January this year. We stayed lake view atrium. We love it! Location can’t be beat-walking to MK, monorail ru TTC then change to Epcot monorail (this was pre-Covid when Epcot monorail running). We had a car so drove to some parks.

I know this is super unpopular but I'm not a big fan of CR.

Its too concrete and non-themed for me (at least at that price point).

For me, the biggest selling points are the: food and transportation there. But right now, Epcot monorail isn't running and Chef Mickey is only breakfast with no characters. Cali Grille is opened as is the Wave which is great but...it isn't the same.

Well i'm sure the MK view is the best but they do have a great food court. We travel there often just to eat lunch.

I have stayed at the Contemporary four times in the last three years. I do not care for the theming BUT there are wonderful food options (California Grill Brunch is the BEST), personable staff, walks to the MK Park, great outside places to sit and enjoy, busses/monorail/ or boats, plenty of places to walk, and this is my significant other's favorite resort. I think you will have a wonderful time!!! My favorite is the Grand Floridian but I compromise. (Note: I never ever thought as a child I would get to WDW. I am blessed via hard work and planning to even be a part of Disney fun as an adult.!!)

In terms of ambiance, CR doesn't compare to WL, IMHO. However, your room will be much bigger and you'll be able to walk to MK which is a huge plus. I'm assuming you are in the garden wing? If so, even a bigger plus as you will not have to contend with the extraordinarily crowded elevators which will be even worse now with social distancing. I find the garden wing to also be very quiet which we really like.
