interesting storyline with BD. who ever thought they'd let him take off his helmet?

I read (and enjoy) Doonesbury. I was so confused with all the furor over the "bad language" last week. I had read the strip, and not even seen it as bad language....it just seemed like a natural reaction by BD to his injury! I had to pull out the old newspaper to see what it was he said that was so bad! Rereading it, I couldn't believe I has passed it by so casually...just too involved in the story I guess.

if you've been reading the strip, Deb, youd understand the "joke". when Ray first saw BD after the doctors took care of him, BD made a joke about his hair/helmet.
