Anyone back from HH recently?

We leave for HH Aug. 13th and had a few questions -

1) How were the bugs?
2) Were there jellyfish?
3) What activities were they having for kids? We haven't been in a few years

1) The bugs were there, enjoying themselves immensely! I'm assuming you mean the biting kind? I am one who usually is not much of a target for bug bites, but I certainly got my share on our 4th of July trip! If you're talking about the Palmetto bugs, didn't see any of those at the resort at all, as some people have reported recently. They are just about everywhere in SC though, so I'm sure they were nearby!!

2) I don't recall hearing any reports of jellyfish this trip.

3) The kids activities were pretty much the same as in the past -- Gyotaku (fish--> t-shirt painting), some other arts & crafts, Kids' Night Out and Teen Night Out... The new naturalist had not started yet when we were there, so I would imagine that by the time you get there, there will be more activities along those lines.

Have a wonderful trip. Wish we were going back!!
