I just moved into a new apartment. My roommate is home for Labor Day weekend and I am alone. I am used to sleeping with my TV on but can't have one here. It's weird getting used to all the new noises of a new place, and this townhouse is OLD! So, I am up and lurking through various threads on the DIS! Anyone else out there?

Totally understand you on this one. It's hereditary in my case - my birth mom is the same way. I want the TV on when I go to sleep!

Yeah, I need to go to bed.

Haha glad to see I'm not alone! Plus I didn't have a chance to pick up a fan and the room is stuffy...oh how I miss my parent's house/my last apartment!! I only have a quarter of school left and I am subleasing from a friend's roommate who will be abroad. I was lucky to even find a place for the time I need, so I really shouldn't be complaining!

You can't have a TV where you are?

I can hear three right now! Two will be turned off shortly.

The fiance is gone for the night (business trip) so I have been puttering around the house watching reruns, youtube and looking up stuff so no sleep for me.

I am watching a film right now and the main character can't sleep so someone offers them warm milk...what's that about?

My mom used to give me warm milk when I couldn't sleep and was little!! I finally slept last night but had to leave a light on in my room...pathetic, I know.

I know what mean sometimes I sleep with the TV on too.

Try hulu.com for TV shows and movies.

geez - you guys sound like people on the Restaurants Board, getting up early to hop on-line to snag ADRs!!

I had some 12 hour non-drowsy cold meds. I should be awake for some time now! :goodvibes

Me...

I'm going into the hospital in the morning to have my labor induced. I couldn't sleep if I had a truckload of Ambien, I'm afraid.

But I just took two Tylenol PM and we'll see what happens. If I start misspelling things or using bad grammar, someone tell me to go to bed! :rotfl:

Good luck, MScott! The night before my first induction (I was induced with DD2 and DD3 and almost induced with DD1....she decided to start labor 12hrs before the induction), they gave me Ambien. I was up all night anyway.

They gave me Ambien when I was in labor, but I was so wound up, I just kept walking the halls.

I'm up because DD2 doesn't sleep. Ever. It's like she's an alien sent from another planet to torture me into divulging all of Earth's secrets. :sad2:

I don't want to go to bed and I'm bored. Fortunately for my hips, I'm not snacking.

I tried to sleep but to no avail. So I am snacking on Cornbread Crackers and pub cheese and watching Lifetime Movie channel! :happytv: I hope I dont eat the whole thing!

I'm awake too, and I really should go to bed. Just trying to finalize all my planning before our 09/15 trip....but got a little tired of planning....so thus here I am! No snacking though....too dangerous for me. Although I do admit the cereal box is calling my name!

That is some gooood non-drowsy cold meds that I took. Still awake! Not only helped my symptoms but I finished this weeks and 2/3rds of next weeks math homework. Woo! I think that I'm gonna crash soon though. :surfweb:
