Anyone Applying to Mom's Panel Tomorrow?

I have decided to apply. I feel very nervous about it. I can't decide what my expertise should be. I am very good at putting off my real job so I can post stuff on the internet. :rotfl:

well add one more to the mix. crossing my fingers for us all.... how many spots are open for this? I guess we will start to find out somthing around Nov. 1st :) 20,000 aps is a LOT to pick from.

good luck

I just submitted my app. How to make yourself sound better than anyone else in a total of 300 words....sigh.

What a dream, though, isn't it?

LOL, I applied (I'm a dad).

I didn't even worry that much about grammer and spelling. I just fired it off in a couple of minutes (went through on first try, but then I didn't mention anything about whipping like some of you have, LOL). Probably why I'll not get the callback. Oh well, I can say I did it.

:surfweb: I just submitted my app! :woohoo:

I agree about the nerves. It was an online application for goodness sakes and I was proofreading it like it was a letter to the Admissions Board for Harvard. I guess when you want something this badly, every word counts. :teacher:

We'll be at WDW the week before the Moms Panel. Maybe, I'll be "forced" to lengthen our trip ... :rolleyes1

Good luck all! :wizard:

Have applied as well. I don't have kids and live in a foreign country, I'm hoping that won't count too much against me.

I've applied again this year. I've got my fingers crossed. I wonder what my six-year-old daughter would say if I told her that her father was suddenly a "Disney Mom".

Submitted my application! I was able to access the site at work!

I'm pretty much a newbie, but I've been Disney OBSESSED ever since I called to make our reservation on Feb. 14!!! I just submitted my application! Next on my list - leave for WDW tomorrow!!! YIPPPEEE!!!! :goodvibes :cool1:

Sent my application this afternoon. Now the long waiting game. Who knows maybe they will see my stunning personality shining through.:rotfl:

I submitted my application last night. I so want to do it...hope they pick me (or at least someone from the Dis)! :goodvibes

Anyone else having trouble getting their answers to go through? I keep getting a message that my first response has inappropriate content - when it absolutely does NOT. Such a typical Disney IT snafu. ARRGGH.
oh no Dodie- a friend of mine had that problem too. lol at dole whip.

they do accpet INTl candidates as well, I know Jo this year was from the UK on the panel.

I submitted as well. Good luck ladies (and gentlemen)

I finally submitted my entry around 11pm last night. I wrote the questions down and jotted down a few notes about things I wanted to say. Kept jotting down all day. When the kids went to bed I typed everything into Word and spell checked over and over. Then I re-typed everything into the boxes and copied and pasted back into Word to spell check again. This is the first year I am really happy with the end result.

Good luck to everyone!

Personally I think titling the forum "Moms Panel" is kind of sexist in this day and age. My DH is just as knowledgeable about WDW as I am. Also, not just people with children are visiting WDW nowadays. The panel needs to include people from all different backgrounds (Moms, Dads, Singles, Retired folks, etc...) If you've been to WDW lately, you will notice more and more extended families are traveling together too. I know they kind of threw together the idea of this panel on a whim last year. They are trying to compete with sites like the DISboards, Passporter, All Ears, etc... Now, they need to fine tune it. Maybe, they should rename it. But to what? Any suggestions?!?!?!?!?!

Good Luck! With all that effort, I am sure it will pay off. Now, I am starting to rethink my submission. I honestly never thought to copy it into Word and spellcheck. Sending lots of pixie dust your way! :wizard:

I'm with a PP ... If I can't win, I hope a fellow DISer gets on the Panel this year. These boards are full of more people with all kinds of WDW info even most CMs don't even know. :rolleyes1

Remember Justin the CMO (Chief Magical Officer) last year. The DISboards is a great place for Disney to find some WDW pros. :thumbsup2

:disrocks: GOOD LUCK DISERS!!!!! :disrocks:
