Anyone already post that paper FP will be gone at MK as of 1/14?

They need to do it already. Get rid of the old machines and get on with it. Than maybe the changes to the FP+ system that are supposed to happen actually will.

My feelings exactly, although it is much easier to feel this way now that I know we for sure cannot pull FP- on our upcoming trip.

This was posted before and (to me) no surprise. I have been planning (spreadsheet type) with this expectation since I first heard of FP+. Fortunately, we will be onsite. I really considered offsite until this came up. I guess Disney got their wish and I made my decision on lodging based on this.

I am grateful to hear that the MB are working better now. Some trip reports had me second guessing even including WDW in my Orlando vacation. I am still thinking about it. I plan to go to SeaWorld, US/IOA and Busch Gardens during the same two week trip. I am booked with a package for 8 nights at POP. A lot can happen between now and 45 days before my trip.

FWIW, we have had no issues with MBs and have been using them on a regular basis for over 6mths.

Oh Drat!! First we agree to include 7 mos preggers DD and DGrD2 because we have access to monorail for her to easily get back and forth to VGF - no wait!! - the monorail will now be down during the day so we will have to leave the park with them to help get them back for naps!!:sad2:

And now only 3 FPs per day at MK - the park we will be spending 3 of our 4 days at. :headache: I never thought anything could dampen my love of WDW - apparently I was wrong.:sad1:

We're heading down in less than 2 weeks - and while I would love to be able to pull a few legacy FP (with our APs) - honestly I think the PP are right - it's time to rip off the Band-Aid.

Okay, I know it's just a formatting issue but the &bull at the end of all the statements makes me giggle. Bull is right :rotfl:

Where did this come from by the way? Either way, I'm glad it's happening. Pull the band aid!!

Made me laugh too...I thought OP was inserting his opinion:dance3:

I don't get the connection..why do you think that's the case?

The two parks that have tiers right now are EPCOT and DHS. They will still have FP- available for now.

Oh....and the MK "test" begins on my birthday!:bday:

I agree. Hopefully resort guests will be able to get more FP+ day of.

NO!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This wasn't supposed to happen until at least the 22nd. I check in on the 15th. Sucks socks.

I hate to burst your bubble, but none of these "tests" as far as I know have gone away. Sorry :(. By test, they mean roll out. You'll be using FP+ at MK and AK.

Paper fastpasses went away at AK as soon as the FP+ test started.

Exactly! Wherever you see the word "test" used by WDW, replace it with "disguised roll-out".

In all my frets about FP+, I still believed deep down that, when paper fastpasses left MK, the number of FP+ for that park would increase to four or five. Because, unlike the other parks, there are plenty of rides that people want to fastpass. I was willing to accept tiers in exchange for the increase. Most of the fastpasses I want are not top tier.

Seriously, three fastpasses at MK??? My days of fastpassing my kids' favorite rides and MY mountains are gone for good???

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm THRILLED legacy FP will be gone from MK. We check in on 2/1 and I was upset that off-site guests could pull lots of FP at MK (due to low crowds) while on-site guests are limited to 3. I don't mind FP+ near as much if all guests are truly limited to 3 each.

If you swing that the other way....some offsite guests are upset onsite gets first crack and able to secure fp well in advance ...offsite gets the leftovers

Yep--we're offsite for our trip next week and going to MK the day after the change. Really psyched to be standing in line at a FP+ kiosk at park opening scrounging for FP+ leftovers instead of going to an attraction.

If I were you I would do a big ride or two at opening first while the lines are low, then go to a kiosk that is further into the park and less likely to be busy. You should still be able to get the FP you want because MK has so many desirable rides as opposed to everyone wanting one or two rides in Epcot and DHS.

Can offsite guests not use their smart phones? I'd be on my Disney experience typing in my ticket number & reserving my FP+ while in line for Enchanted Tales.

Could be--or by waiting I might lose the opportunity to get an attraction and/or time we want. I'm so excited to play "FP+ Kiosk Roulette" and find out.
