I've just transfered into the RT program at college. Was a tough decision to make, but with the nursing department having a wait list of close to 75 students for fall, I felt it was the right decision.
Working in health care is what the main goal is, and being a CRT or RRT is going to accomplish that goal.
When DD8 was little, and had her asthma issues, the RRT at the ER always made her feel better, would sit with her and make sure she was breathing okay, would bring in little toys, stuffed animals etc. to make the breathing treatments less scary for her or to just calm her down.
I know there are a multitude of specialties, and the PICU is not something I'd want to do, but Peds, etc would/could work.
is anyone here a CRT or RRT? What do you love about your job, what do you hate about your job?
Thanks!
Brandy
