SInce I can't depend on ANY of my sisters to mail a letter...I was wondering if someone would like to mail a letter to my kids from Santa??

I'd send the postage and all...but if I mail it myself and they see the Charlottesville postmark, well lets just say DD won't fall for that!

Anyway, we are surprising them with WDW for Christmas we are leaving for Florida for a family visit on the 26th (that they already know about) then onto Disney. The letter from Santa is to tell them they are going to Disney...

I was going to put a "gift certificate" under the tree but then I thought the letter from Santa would be more exciting.

Anybody??

I'll help you out, but the postmark would be from Oklahoma City???? Would that be sneaky enough? lol Just pm me if you want me to do it for you. :)

I'd be willing to help you out if you think a MI postmark would be good enough.
You might want to ask your Post Office because I heard sonmewhere that they can postmark from the North Pole.
PM me if you want me to do it.

If you'd like one with a German postmark, you've got a volunteer here!

I was just reading that there is a town in Indiana that is named Santa Claus. Could you send a letter to the postmaster and ask them to remail it to your children so you can have the Santa Claus postmark on it?

The zip code for Santa Claus, Indiana 47579

Ok, so here's my idea. Might not be enough time though!

So you want a North Pole postmark, but with your letter inside.

You can write Santa at the North Pole, and he'll write your DD back. The postmark will be something "Christmas-y"... I can't remember what mine were as a kid, but I'm pretty sure it was North Pole, HOHOHO or something like that. So my idea is to get the "generic" letter sent back with that postmark, and then to get the letter, steam it open (this sounds so underhanded, LOL!), and replace the "generic" letter inside with the letter you really want and glue it shut. Then you have *your* letter inside a Christmas-scene envelope with postmark from the North Pole!

But, for you to pull that off, you would have to be able to always get to the mailbox before your DDs.

I would suggest you might want to have a back-up plan and have one of us send you the letter from our postmark as well, but if you could manage to pull off the North Pole postmark, that would be PRETTY COOL! I'm just worried that you might not get Santa's letter in time or something, though I'm sure they're working very hard and it would be worth a try.

So, the address if you're interested in getting a real Santa letter the info and address is...

About 15,000 Canada Post volunteers, both staff and retirees, help with Canada Post's Write to Santa program. Every year, more than a million children take advantage of the program by writing to Santa and receiving a reply. Letters are answered in English and French, in many other languages, and in Braille.

All mail should include a return address so Santa can answer, and must include the proper postage.

Santa's regular address is
<B>
SANTA CLAUS
NORTH POLE H0H 0H0
CANADA </b>

And if you'd like me to send you a letter from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, I'd be more than glad to!! If it's a typed letter you could even e-mail me (lynnew@mts.net) the Word file and I can just print it out and mail it to you, but if you needed to send me or whomever you choose to send a specific letter than just send me a PM and I'll send you my address if you want one from Canada.

Ok, think that about covers it! Let me know if you'd like any help, and let us know how it goes!

I found this......a possibility.

(this article was in my local paper this week, I thought it was interesting enough to reprint here)
The North Pole Station is once again offering its special North Pole postmark during the holiday season.

People who want to receive the postmark should perform the following four steps:

First, they should completely address and apply postage stamps to the envelope or envelopes on which they want to have the North Pole postmark.

Second, they should insert the envelope or envelopes into a larger envelope or container. Third, they should include a note requesting the special North Pole postmark.

Finally, they should mail to North Pole Cancellations, U.S. Postal Service, 5400 Mail Trail, Fairbanks, Alaska 99709- 9998.

The Postal Service recommends large orders of addressed and stamped envelopes be sent via Priority or Express mail. The cards will be postmarked North Pole and will be mailed from Fairbanks.

Postmarked cards will not be returned to customers for mailing from their own town. North Pole cancellations requests should be received in Fairbanks by December 7.

Thank you!!!

I am going to try Merriweather's suggestion to get the North Pole post mark. How cool would that be??

As usual you all are so great, thank you for all your help and suggestions!!
