Has anybody here used the Tour Guide Mike online trip planner? What did you think of it? Is it worth the cost? I'll be going in June for my honeymoon and with the details of planning the wedding, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with planning our honeymoon activities too. We will only get to spend 4 days there and I know there's so much "inside" info that would make the trip easier and more "effecient".

Just wanted to hear some comments.

Thanks!

I really like it. I use it in conjunction with the Unofficial Guide. I especially like the sample touring plans. Mike also gives a different slant on some of the restaurants and such. Not that he disagrees with the Unofficial Guide, he just gives you the a different pt of view.

Mike is actually the owner of a VIP touring company and I think his experience in that area really gives him some expertise in giving advice on how to get the most fun out of a limited amount of time.

It's not a huge amount of money and I have definately gotten my money's worth.

For first time visitors, or infrequent ones it is great. For repeated WDW travelers it has interesting information. If you have $ to spare its a fun read for a veteran WDWer

I really enjoyed TGM. We used it on our last trip. I like all the info I can get before I go and his was very specific He was usually very current w/ updates and all his info. Well worth the $.

I dont' know about Tour Guide Mike. From what I gather, they don't really customize a plan for you. They just give you lots info on stuff and some ideas and you take it from there. I can do that myself!

Personally, I would go to www.touringplans.com which is the unofficial guides site and you can order an actual completely custom touring plan from them. I believe they can even factor in your PSs and things like that.

Lentesta who posts here works for the unofficial guide and last year his input was invaluable for helping me plan a day in MK around a PS at CRT for lunch and the family magic tour. I did not purchase a touring plan at that time, he just gave me his opinions but I vowed that if I was ever in a situation where I really needed to maximize a day at the parks, this is where I would order from.

Go check it out.

I am a dye-hard TGM fan!!!

Tourguide Mike's info is so great; it really made our trip last time. We didn't wait in any line longer than 15 mins...and that one time was for Dumbos. He has tons of pictures and tips on where to sit for all the rides/shows/parades, etc. More than last year. He has best AM and PM to go to each park and best rides/shows to see in each park broken down by AM, PM, Afternoon, any time, etc.

I'm using TGM for our trip this year, too, and have noticed that he is keeping everything updated very well...he even dates the pages when the info changes so you can tell if it's up to date.

WDW changes so often that by the time a guidebook hits the shelves, some of the info is outdated. Passporter is the most up to date guidebook out there because they wait to put out the 2004 edition in 2004...not late 2003 like the others. But I've already had to download Passporter updates for changes WDW has made since it went to press.

If you have any specific ques, I'll try and answer them.

I was skeptical of purchasing it the first time, but someone told me you're spending 1000s on a vacation, isn't it worth $20 (less now with discounts) to make sure it goes well...and they were right.
