here goes....
Breakfast...
7:00 to 10:00 or :30. mini croissants,(VERY GOOD and fresh) cherry danish, bagels and cream cheese, cereal boxes(little ones and different ones, great for the kids), water, milk, apple juice, tea bags, hot chocolate mix packages. muffins(blueberry, banana nut (cold not warm). Fruit melange(daughter like to pick out watermelon and strawberries)....They have to-go cups which you can fill and take with you-great for going to the parks.
11:00 to about 2:00(?)-snacks...gummy worms, nuts, apple juice, water, tea bags, hot chc. mix. This cannot be used for lunch. Would have been nice to have soup or cold sandwiches.
2:30 -4:30 or so..(not exact times but close)..afternoon tea...they do not serve tea at this so the name is misleading..same snacks as above but with muffins added(same ones as breakfast).
NOTE: soda is only served at dinner time so if you drink one with breakfast or need pm. pick-ups take a few extras at dinner time and put them into your room fridge.
5:00 to 7:00...truely the reason for us choosing the concierge level. Each night we had a hot soup(Navy bean, clam chowder, hearty beef, chicken noodle, tomato bisque, etc. very good each night), a meat dish(roasted pork loin, bbq ribs, bbq shortribs, bbq chicken kabobs, veal kabobs, pulled pork bbq sandwiches. Yes it was mostly bbq'd but the food was very good and hot. You will not get bored with Disney fast food as long as you make it a point to eat dinner each night on your concierge floor. They have pre-made PB&J sandwiches for the kids...which were thick and really surprisingly good for PB&J. We had a cheese plate each evening with an assortment of cheese and crackers and fruit. We also had carrots, mushrooms(cold), and celery with dip. Soda is added to the menu at dinner along with all the other choices. Also they served 4 different wines...I don't really drink so I can't tell you what kind they had.
Note... by eating breakfast at the hotel we had a balenced meal choice twice a day and never felt overloaded on fast food.
8:00 to 10:00... sugar cookies (avg) choc chip cookies(avg)..little tarts, brownies (not good). After we had been there for about 5 days they started to put out chocolate covered strawberries ...YUMMY. I recommend getting these, some cordials and heading back to you room for some relax time. If you see really large sugar cookies with sprinkles on them ..grab them for your kids...they are good. One of the concierge staff suggested that I add some godiva chocolate amaretto(sp?) into my hot chocolate. Yep it was good.
Note...at dinner time try to eat around 5:00....the food tends to diappear quickly and sometimes doesn't always get replaced. Sometimes it may be replaced with a lesser quality meat. One exception was when we were given beef kabobs when the veal ones ran out. That was good. And if you ask the staff will always try to help you out and get you what you need. never saw bottled water..they had it in a wine like bottle and it tasted great no after taste.
The staff was excellant. I left my lodge cup out by the pool...left it for about 10 to 15 minutes. I wondered if some one turned it in to the lost and found so I called the concierge desk to ask if the lodge had one. Tim said he would call down to the pool bar and check the front desk for me. We left for awhile and came back to find a new cup by the phone with a voice mail message from him saying that they had replaced it for free. They were always helpful...they never said no they couldn't do something.
One complaint I had was that the housekeeping always had their cleaning carts in the hallway...always! One day they couldn't have cleaned our bathrooms they smelled to high heaven. But a call to housekeeping and they came to clean them...the right way. Our view was of the magic kingdom BUT the no-see-ums kept us from ever using the deck for the entire 10 days. Oh well...we went down the hall to watch the fireworks from a section of hallway that is lined with windows. Others had them same idea. It was fun to meet the others.
The room was just like any other room in the WL. We had bunkbeds and a queen bed. the room seemed slightly larger. Turn down service is nice...after a afternoon nap we would leave and eat then swim and we always came back to freshly made beds and turned down covers with a mint on the pillow.
We loved the 7th floor because of the express check out, access to people who always smiled, helpful staff, and food that was good.
We we go back yes...if the price is right.
