Anybody know what they charge for the DVC BBQ?

But you don't really care where I got it from, do you.

I have read the enite thread and don't see where DVC used that word at all. Please enlighten me.

Actually, I'm very interested in your source, since you suggested that DVC used the word "nominal" in advertising for the BBQ. You have chosen to base your criticism of DVC on using the word "nominal" and I'd like to know where DVC used it in that fashion.

I don't care what they charge for their burgers, but does your sit-down restaurant advertise their burgers price as "nominal" ?? It's all in the wording.

I'll agree it's all in the wording and would like to see where DVC actually used the wording that you find so offensive.

Another poster stated he read something with the word "nominal" in it. That's all there is to this story. As for my "advertisement" sentence, I asked if restaurants use the word "nominal" in their price list.

I don't think $4.00 for a burger is unreasonable. It sounds like the prices are in line with what they are on Disney property. I didn't expect less.

I just went to a Yankee game and I spent more than that for a hot dog (and you don't want to know how much a beer costs. )

What will make everyone happy? If it was complimentary, you'd better believe that members would be screaming that it's coming out of their dues.

It looks as if there are some free activities. If I choose to buy a burger, why should I be criticized for it?

Why should the members who choose to participate in Member Events always be made to feel as if they have to defend themselves for doing so?

I don't think anyone is criticizing anybody and you certainly aren't being asked to defend a burger purchase. I just thought it funny when first I read "nominal" in one post then actual prices in another. Nothing more, nothing less. Sure the posted prices are in line with what Disney charges in the park, but I wouldn't classify park prices as nominal.

Disclaimer for Doc: I have no idea if the word "nominal" ever appeared in any official Disney/WDW/DVC literature. I simply read another post and took it at its face value. I did not question validity of the statement by the poster nor will I assume he/she just made it up.
