Hello Everyone,

My husband had a bad accident this weekend and we had to cancel our trip for next week to WDW. We rented points - the points went into holding. They will expire Nov 30th. The member we rented from has been very helpful and I don't want to be a pest. I am getting anxious about being able to rebook.

Does anyone have some time to see if there is anything available for October or November? I rented 94 points. I know I won't be able to book any further ahead than 60 days as well. I would just like to know if this is hopeless...

I would be very grateful for any help.

What about Vero Beach? Is it hard to get a room there in Oct or Nov??

Thanks again.

You really need to have the member you rented from check availability for you. Anyone else checking, is only going to have that info available for the minute. When they hang up, the next call can take that booking.

I think you need to make a list for your DVC owner of what you first, second, third choices are and have them call for you.

Good luck.

I agree with Carol. Theoretical availability means nothing, and "checking availability" is really a useless exercise. In order for availability to matter, you have to be ready to book instantly.

Give the owner a range of dates and preferences and see what they can do. You are going to have to be VERY flexible to make this work...especially with the points expiring so quickly. You should also be prepared to pay a little more immediately if more points are required, and be prepared to lose a few points if fewer are required.

If you have flexibility, you may be able to find something at SSR or OKW for October or early November. But you need to make decisions and move...not research.

Good luck and a speedy recovery to your husband.

Thanks guys!

I already told the member to book anything from mid september on at any resort. 1 br or studio. I don't care if we use all the points or not, I just want to get something booked. We can always stay at another resort or pay cash for the rest of the nights.

Wish me kuck!

I hope that your husband is okay from the accident and that you are able to get a quickly-booked vacation at WDW!
