I am from Michigan, I don't even know what they are, but DH wants to make some and all he knows is it has lettuce and tomatoes in it.

Are you refering to nachos? This is a recipe for nachos from Sancho's restaurant. I'd use more cheese though, you could also put lettuce on them.

Four or five handfuls of blue corn tortilla chips.
1 can refried beans
1 whole diced tomato
1/3 cup chopped white onion
1 chopped serrano chili pepper (use more chili peppers if desired)
1/2 lemon
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese, or other white cheese of your choice

Warm up refried beans. Meanwhile, mix the diced tomato, onion and chili pepper in a small bowl with a pinch of lemon juice to prepare the salsa. On a larger oval plate, place one layer of blue corn chips, spread a few spoonfuls of refried beans over the chips, pour the chili sauce over the chips and beans. Top with the shredded cheese. Keep layering until there are no more chips or refried beans left. Serve immediately.

However, there's also a cigar called a Sanchos, maybe that's what he wants;)

I also found this, which I have never heard of, but maybe it's right

Sanchos: Brown a pound of hamburger with a clove of garlic or two, and drain. Boil about 4 large potatoes and cut into 3/4" cubes. Mix meat and potatoes together, add a cup or two of cheese, and some chili powder, cumin and lots of salt and pepper. Stir in a drained can of sweet peas. I know this sounds yucky, but it's not. Put 1/12 in each of 12 room-temperature flour tortillas, and roll. Freeze and reheat just like the burritos.

As a teen I worked at a fast food mexican place and we sold sanchos. They were like burritos (hamburger, refried beans and cheese wrapped in a flour shell) except we also put lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream in them. Then we would put enchalata (sp?) sauce on them and shredded cheese and heat them up.

The fast food restaurant Taco Via sells Sanchos. They are kind of like burritos, but I don't know if they have refried beans in them or a sauce. I'm not a big burrito fan, so I've always gotten other items there.

Edit:
Microcell--I just noticed that you were the original poster. Since you're in Kansas City, you can call Taco Via and they will probably give you the recipe. I know they have some locations on the Kansas side, not sure about Missouri. Better yet, if there's one close to you, just drive over and pick him up a few. They are very inexpensive and much, much better than Taco Bell. I have been a Taco Via addict for decades!

Around here sanchos are flour tortillas rolled and stuffed with spicy ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. They are rolled up like a burrito but they don't necessarily have beans in them. You could put taco sauce in them or over them, sour cream would be good. You could even pour chili over them.
They can be really tasty :D

We have one right down the street! DH loves Taco Via, but even more so Taco Johns!! They are all over Lawrence if you are on the Kansas side! Used to be in Olathe, but that pesky I 35 took it out! I may go to Taco Via, Dh is working all day without a chance to eat!

DH said keli was the closest! He wants all the variations, but I don't like Mexican that much!!

Thank you all so much!
