Anybody Going the Week after 4th of July?

I'm going July 14-21. It will not be as packed as the week of the 4th, but it will still be crowded. Arrive at the parks early, take a break and come back after 5.:D

we're going july 8-16th, am hoping there is a slight lull in crowds after the holiday

We're going July 5-8. Hopefully it is not too bad, but if it is we are staying with family the rest of the summer and will go back (we have APs).

We went 2 yrs ago from July 5th to July 12th and it was not bad.
Of course MK on Saturday was awful, but other than that we had a great time.

We are going the 6th to the 13th on a spur of the moment trip...I'm hoping it is not too awful...but we just survived last christmas and new years so I think we will be OK>...

We're going July 4 - 10----Hey Zurg's Wife, I'm going to watch for you and your family! It would be neat to run into some folks from the boards!!

We're going from the 12th (arriving after our RCCL cruise gets into port) and leaving the evening of the 16th. We too are hoping that the crowds aren't too bad, but do plan to take advantage of extra magic hour and enights as much as possible. If we do as suggested and go to the early entry park in the am, and take a mid afternoon break, how realistic is it to get back to a park (or hop to a new one) by 5ish and still get into the big rides without arriving to find that the fastpasses are all gone for the day? Any past experiences for this time of year? Thanks!

We'll be there from July 3 - 11!!!!! :sunny:

we go every year at that time...
it's extremely crowded....extremely hot.......extremely humid.....extremely rainy....

but we still have a great time....

my suggestion, make sure you're there for opening every day, then leave the park at 1, when the crowds/heat/humidity are impossible...

We are staying offsite in a beautiful villa for 3 weeks, from July 3rd to 24th. We go every year at this time.

It is pretty busy so have a plan, get there early, leave in the afternoon and go back in the evening.

I found MK to be very busy no matter what time it was. Even in mid July last year, it was crowded in the evening.

Well, you can pretty much bet that Test Track fast passes will be gone, but I remember getting fast passes for other big attractions in the evening. Even without fast passes, the lines thin out somewhat in the evenings. I'm not suggesting that there will be NO wait, but it's not as bad as in the afternoon. Plus, it's more comfortable in the evening too.

I've only been once when it WASN'T really crowded. As long as you drink water in addition to all of the other suggestions you'll be fine. I find also that having the expectation that WDW just will be hot and crowded and that we will have to wait a lot just makes it o.k. somehow. I think it's people who expect everything to be perfect and quickly moving that are disappointed.

We'll be there July 5th through the 12th.
We usually go the week before the 4th, so I don't know first hand how the crowds will be. I just expect it to be crowded no matter when we go during the summer. But that's ok, with FPs, inside attractions to counteract the heat, resort breaks, and not commando-ing this time should set us up fpr a great time!

July 5 - 12 as well. We expect crowds, extremely hot weather and rain every afternoon. We also expect to have a fabulous time!

So, I'm curious, have you all started packing yet? I've been packing a few things that we have been picking up while shopping. :)

Cool that's about 4 DISers who will be there the same time...

We are definately morning park goers...and then lunch and the pool and then back in the evening...

The hit thing should be interesting though...we did it a number of years ago...but don't remember how hot it actually was...:sunny: :sunny:
