I don't mean, "does DL have a DVC resort that you can buy into?" LOL. What I mean is, do they sell DVC from there? Can you purchase additional points at the DVC kiosks, or somewhere, while vacationing in California? Or is it strictly information there?
The reason I ask is this: up until last year, our state didn't allow timeshares to be sold here. In other words, we couldn't call up Disney and buy DVC, and they couldn't send us DVC information or even talk to us about it on the phone - even if we asked them to - how silly is that? We had friends who bought when OKW first opened, and they told us all about it. We were interested from the start, but we had to physically go to WDW in order for Disney to even be allowed to talk to us about it or show us any info. So of course we bought on our first trip there.
So, when we decided to do an add-on at BCV, our guide called and said "Congratulations, you've made it to the top of the waiting list, but you can't buy BCV in your state." Apparently last year SSR was cleared for sale here, but none of the other resorts are. Luckily for us, we're going back to WDW soon, so we can sign the papers there.
Sheesh, our state's so busy protecting us from ourselves, it makes me feel like we're smuggling contraband or something. But anyway, I digress...
Now our original plan was to buy small add-ons as we can pay cash, but if we have to sneak off to Florida every time we save up enough $ that's going to get rather tedious, since we live a very long way from there. SO... would it be possible for us to ever sign papers for add-ons during a trip to Disneyland, since we live close to California?
I thought I'd ask about it next time I talk to my guide, but didn't want to call and bother her with it if anybody here knows the answer.
TIA!
