Good morning. Hard to believe that we're heading towards the end of Sept already. @flyingdumbo127 , that means your floors should be put in soon and you can get out of that horrid place and get back to your peaceful home and being with your Dad.

Of course the owner of the plumbing company didn't call or show up yesterday. I'm calling first thing on Monday. I need this issue fixed before I leave on vacation.

My poor little kitty Bug. C3PO was her buddy, and she's been walking around looking for him for 2 days. Last night she sat on my lap almost all evening, and she's not a lap cat. She doesn't know what's happened, just knows that her life isn't the same as it was. Makes me sad for her.

I have 2 more rooms of carpet to clean today, then the cats are all getting baths, and my Fall cleaning is done, and I made it before the official start of Fall, lol

@dazedx3 --look at the parks trip through your eyes and make new memories for yourself. That's what Kris would want for you!

Have a good day all

Good cloudy morning. Going to be 75. Humidity is up again though may have to put the ac on. They're calling for a chance of rain Mon-Fri. which would be nice.

Nothing new around here, and this thread is very quiet the last couple of days.

Have a good one

Warm cookies, please! :) Sunday love to all. Are any of you watching Crossroad Springs? I am enjoying it more with each episode. James, one of the main characters who plays a pastor, quoted from James 1:12 in yesterday's episode: "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him."

Remember dear Quacker family, God is love. Love wins always. He can and does make all things, including us, new morning by morning.

I will check back in later.

Good morning. According to the weather it's supposed to be 100% chance of rain by noontime, but right now the sun is out and the sky is blue. Sure doesn't look like rain, lol

Heard from a good friend in FL that her 95 year old mother who's been living with her for 3 years, is now in hospice at home. That's so sad. My friend lost her husband just 2 months after Don passed away, so she's going to feel so alone when her mother is gone too.

Nothing new here, did a whole lot of nothing yesterday except watch Black Rabbit on Netflix. Finished the whole series.

Have a good day

Prayers gor your friend dear Lynn and always for you!

God willing today is going to be one of great joy for my dad and I.

The weather here has been sunny and cooler. October is almost here! Happy Monday to all with love always. Starting at 2pm my time, there is a marathon of Celebrations with Lacey Chabert on today. I have several new episodes set to record. Let me know if any of you enjoy any of this show or Crossroad Springs :)

Lynn, did C3PO not see that the other cat had passed away? That’s so sad. We try to let our dogs see when that happens. They know. We even let them see the hamsters who passed. Toto was just a puppy when our German Shepherd passed in the living room. He saw that, but we also brought him out when the van came to take her to the crematory. He watched them putting her in there and driving away. Ugh.

Last week was kind of a quiet week just resting and putting things away from the trip. Still not done. I have some appointments coming up this week, Wednesday will be important for upcoming decisions. 🙏

It got chilly here the past couple of days, had to turn the heat on. Weird since I had the AC on on Friday.

Loved the duck video, @theluckyrabbit! @dazedx3 @lynxstch Wishing you both a wonderful trip!

Have a good week everyone! 🐥

Hello! I have quickly read through the thread earlier. Lynn, I am sorry for the loss of your cats. It is hard to lose a furbaby. Plumbing problems are awful and I hope yours get resolved soon.
Dazedx3 I hope you have a trip with new memories that you can share with your family when you return. Kris is always with you in your heart. So glad Sloane is doing well.
EasyAs I hope you have a great trip to Scotland.
Tazdev Glad your Dad is going home to where he is happiest. And happy anniversary to your parents. I hope you have a good Disney trip.
Mona Lynn is so right about getting out of that place. You need to be less stressed and back home to fully recuperate.
Pea That prices of the sundaes are outrageous. But I am sure they are delicious!

I got back from Disney yesterday. Both my flights were on time. Kenny's flight yesterday had a one hour delay. We only had rain on the first night, Wednesday, when we were going to get some food at Beach Club quick service. Other than that it was hot, humid, and mostly sunny. When I got in on Wednesday I went over to Epcot and got some cheddar bacon soup and pretzel roll at Canada. It was OK but not great. But I needed to eat since I was up early for the flight. I got coffee on my way over to Epcot to get caffeinated. I went on Soarin and Living with the land. By then my room was ready to I went back to the resort. Kenny and family arrived around 5:30. Thursday we went to Garden Grill for breakfast which was very nice. We rode Soarin then went to MK on the monorail. Owen has wanted to do Space Mt for 3 years since he was too short last time. He got off and said it was boring but he liked it. Alot of rides were down during the day like Peoplemover and Haunted Mansion. Dinner at Plaza was so good. The vanilla milkshake and turkey club were delicious. Friday we went to Studios and got on Smuggler's Run right away. We did the child swap as Ethan was afraid it was scary. Then Owen managed to get a cast member a bit mad when he pushed all the buttons on the wall near the ride. We really have to keep an eye on him. :rotfl2: Jeff arrived around noon and joined us. We did Slinky Dog Dash, Rise of the Resistance, Mickey and Minnie RR, and smuggler's Run again and this time Ethan joined us. Dinner at Brown Derby was great. Love the Cobb salad and we tried the grapefruit cake and chocolate cake. We met with Darth Vader and Chewbacca. Ethan started dancing when we were with Chewbacca and Chewbacca joined in. It was so cute. We had late LL passes for Tower of Terror which Owen really wanted to go on. I stayed with Ethan as we did not want to ride. Well, once Owen was in the room just before the ride, girls screamed when the lights went out and Owen said I want to leave now. He told me he will ride when he is 9. Saturday we rode Remy, Guardians, Test Track and Soarin. Then we went to MK to do Peoplemover, Carousel of Progress, and Tron. By the third day of 8-10 miles a day we were tired. In the early evening Jeff, Kenny, and I went to Epcot to spend some time together and visit some of the booths. The belgian waffles were great, the chicken teriyaki buns were OK but my DSs loved them. Kenny left to get the kids into the shower so Jeff and I wandered around a bit and got some food at the Alps booth. The dessert was amazing. While we were wandering around, the 3 of us, we talked about Chris and our trips to Disney as a family. There are alot of funny moments and nice family times. We also talked our life with Chris too. I feel like Chris is with us when we travel especially to Disney. Jeff is my sensitive one and we chatted about how things are now on the way back to the hotel. Kenny busies himself with work rather than deal with emotions.

All in all it was a great trip and I was so glad to have my guys with me. I spent alot of time with Kenny's kids and Kate too. We got some great family photos. I am hoping in 2 years the whole family goes and we get a big family picture. I already made a bounceback offer reservation for next Fall at Yacht Club. I have it as place holder as it was a good price. I can always cancel it or rebook if a better offer comes out or if I change where I want to stay or if Kenny and Kate decide to get married on the Saturday I plan to be in Disney. I really like the Boardwalk area. I prefer less buses and more walking or boats. Going back to work today was a big chore but it keeps me busy!

Have a great rest of the day.

Yes he did see her, she passed in the kitchen, and he passed on the other side of the kitchen. The other cats saw both of them. I buried them both way out back where all of the other ones were buried. I have concrete stones I made for each of them with a paw print and their names on them.

Prayers for your Wednesday appointment.

Sounds like a great trip @Snowysmom, so glad! It’s so weird hearing you say you were on rides we were just on, too, lol. It’s nice that you’ve found an area that you love in the Boardwalk.

Our little guy (DS’s stepson) was too small to get on Soarin’ last time but we took him on Living with the Land. At the end, he said, “Boring!” too. We took the girl (7) on it this time and she loved it. It’s actually one of DD’s favorite rides and she really loves DD, so it made sense for her to like it, too. (Little guy still didn’t want to go on Soarin’ or many other rides, though he said, “Next time”. He turned 5 on the trip - so we actually had three birthdays!)

Glad you found the food was good. And glad you got to have some time with your sons alone. It’s funny we did WS from the left and by the time I got to the Canada pavilion, I wasn’t hungry anymore, but I saw the booth with the cheddar bacon soup and filet mignon sandwich and was like, oooh, I would’ve liked that! (Instead I had the bratwurst on pretzel bread and apple strudel in Germany, though I later discovered my strudel was missing the vanilla sauce. 😬) I’d wanted to go from right to left as it puts the sun on your back rather than walking into the sun, but I was overruled. Next time, we’re doing it!

I booked a bounce back this weekend, too, as a placeholder. That’s what this past trip was and we couldn’t beat the price. We really enjoyed the quiet of OKW, and we were right on a golf course. How did you like your resort?

I had stayed at Boardwalk Inn before and really like the location. The rooms are nice. I like the coffee shop in the lobby that opens at 6:30. LOL! I was the first in line one day. I want to try OKW some time but right now when I travel by myself I like the Boardwalk location. Yacht Club should be good too. The price for 4 nights plus park hopper tickets was a great discount. Next time I will try to bratwurst and pretzel roll. Almost got the apple strudel but Jeff wanted to look at more places so we moved on. I am so hoping we do a family trip in 2027 and it may be at Animal Kingdom Lodge or at least part of the trip. I am playing the age card with the kids and saying, now that I am turning 70 I want to do at least one more family Disney trip while I can ride all the rides. :rotfl2: When I stay at Boardwalk resorts I tend to do the World Showcase from France and go around. I go in through the International Gateway. But this time I was heading to Soarin so I stopped in Canada first.

When my dog, Holly passed away, I planted a Holly tree over her. Now as I lose each one, they are in a circle around the tree. It's also pretty far back in the yard.

Good morning. It is 58 here now with temps heading towards 80 today. It is supposed to rain beginning this evening and then for the next few days. We do need the rain. Work yesterday was busy and a bit crazy. My boss is on vacation this week so I have to go into the office Thursday. I have an appt in the area too so I don't have to drive back again another time for that. I try to consolidate things. I did tell my younger son while we were walking around Epcot that I may eventually move back to the area where Chris and I lived for so long. I thought he would think I was a bit crazy but he said whatever I want to do works. I like the area and my doctor and dentist are there. It is only a 45-50 minute drive from where I am now but I think when I am older I will want to be closer to those things and emotionally I may be ready to move back in a few years.

Have a nice day.

It's 62 here and maybe going to 84 with a 24% chance of rain later this evening. Tomorrow is looking like more rain so I will secure some stuff on my deck. My geraniums and another flower arrangement I had replanted in the spring have rebounded and have come back nicely after dying off in August. The cherry tomatos on the patio (in a big planter) are still producing but no one is eating them right now.

Time to go to the farm and get some fall flowers. I could easily have thrown some seeds in the pots - I literally have a couple of dozen with old earth in them and they would be up by now but I was useless most of July and August.

In other news I called Home Depot about my big window as it has shifted a tiny bit, maybe a quarter inch, and the side windows don't open easily. They've been here twice and have finally decided to put supports under the front corners. I had expected that on installation but was told it wasn't needed. This window is extremely heavy, and yes, it was needed. However, the contract wasn't clear enough and it wasn't spelled out what the supports would be. As it was there are existing cables up top and braces under the center bottom jutting out from my basement area concrete.

In addition to that while I was sitting on my sofa a downpour of heavy rain occurred last week before the guys came. In front of my eyes rain seeped in and ran along the base edge and then seeped out. I quickly took some pictures and then wiped it dry. Contractor found two spots up top that would let water in so he caulked them. I'm glad it happened now but would prefer this not to happen. Anyway, the water was gone as fast as it came. It could have happened before without us even realizing as it was so quick and dried quickly. Now I'm after a better roof area and he's going to do something but not for a week or so. We have more rain coming so we will see what else happens.

Meanwhile I'm watching for end of October or last two weeks in October at Disney for a few days. Right now I have mid November. I think I want to go a bit earlier to put more time between my two trips as they were now only two and a half weeks apart.

I've found a couple of days several times at resorts like OKW and Saratoga but didn't jump on them. Cancellations will occur this week. I can always fill in with cash rooms if I feel like it. I only want 4 nights there so one way or the other I should get something as I also have lots of Marriott points for the Swolphin area but I hate paying parking and resort fee of $85 to $90. We will see.

Paid my property taxes with e-check yesterday for a $1.50 fee. Saved a drive plus I don't like to drop a check in a dropbox.

Need to do some food shopping for fresh fruit. And I need to clean. That's my life at the moment.
