Anybody else have a secret addiction?

Is there anything that you really love that you would hate to admit to most people? A TV show, a band, a food, a game - anything? Not Disney, since most of us are obviously addicted to that.

I admit that I am hopelessly addicted to the "X Files." My husband is the only one who knows. They show four episodes each Tuesday and Wednesday night on the Sci-Fi Chanel and I have been watching all of them! I absolutely love it. I only watched it occasionaly when it was on the air, but I am so hooked on the re-runs. I love all the creepy stories and I am endlessly fascinated by the relationship between Skully and Mulder. So, now you know.

What embarassing thing do you love??

I have a huge passion for James Bond movies!! I love them and I collect James Bond everything, but I hardly ever tell people that! LOL

I'm reluctant to tell others that I'm a big fan of the T.V. show *Survivor* - except, of course, my DIS Survivor thread buddies.

I poohpoohed the first season and thought anyone who would watch this show had no life. Then my niece came out from Nebraska to stay with us for a month and we HAD to watch it because she was into it.

The first Thursday night she was gone, I found myself turning the TV on to Channel 2. DH asked what was I doing, I didn't have to watch it anymore, she was gone. "I just wanna see what happens" was my reply and I have watched every single episode ever since!

I know, it's now official, I have no life!

OMG Gem!!!! You and I must be long lost twin sisters! I was the biggest fan of the X-Files that ever existed. I owned every book on the show, had the CDs (not just the movie soundtrack, but the music CDs inspired by the show), I also taped every episode and had them all arranged in cronological order. Ok since it is late (and maybe not too many people will read this) I will tell you that my obsession went further than that. I had all the posters that were available. I also had framed pictures and framed post cards. I had the giant map poster. I collected every magazine they were on the cover of, and would clip the stories or pictures of them out of other magazines and the TV guide for these scrap book type things I had. I also collected the collectors cards. I had limited edition lithographs, and sculptures. When I was in high school a guy friend and I dressed up as Mulder and Scully for halloween (complete with FBI badges). And the topper of them all.........................................................................I went to an X-Files convention. I know, the shame, the shame. You are probably thinking star trek kinda freak. I am not a scary nerd or anything. I am a perfectly normal human being. I just had to go to the convention. I met William B. Davis, Dean Haglund, and Nicholas Lea, and got their autographs. You name it and I was into it concerning the X-Files. All that ended however when they brought in "scar face" as I called him. Uggh, yuck, puke. Did they think he could take over Fox's place? Well he can't. I haven't watched an episode since he joined the show. I missed out on some great stuff though and I know it, the baby, the kissing.....thinking about it now makes me want to run to the TV and will FX to be showing an episode right now. I can't even imagine how much money I spent on this little obsession, but I still think that David is one of the hottest guys on the planet!!!

Being a collector of old things I have to say I have lots of addictions. Most I do not talk about. When people come to visit they are in shock.

In one room I have 25 early baby prints. I also love mixing bowls at last count I think I have 60.

Wow, Disney845 - you make my little "X Files" addiction look small! Although, I did make my husband find me an "x Files" screen saver and I am asking for the DVD boxed sets for Christmas . . .

It really is an addictive show. I know what you mean about that "other guy". Yuck! I can't seem to help myself, though. I've been watching like 8 episodes a week for the last month - and this is coming from somebody who hardly ever watches any television! I totally have a huge crush on Fox Mulder. I can't belive I am admitting this.

I watch every episode hoping Mulder and Skully will have one of those "almost" romantic moments that drives me nuts. It's very strange, I know, and I would absolutely die before I told most people in real life about my addiction.

Everyone makes fun of me but I really love Michael Jackson songs and videos. I was so happy to watch Thriller on Halloween morning before going to work. Made my day.

Are those the Pyrex ones? I have a Cabinet FULL of these, and I am OVER it! Also Rubbermaid containers FULL of Beanie Babies! X-files is OK but I was like that with the original Star Trek from the 60's!

O.K............I am a Northern Exposure fan. I watch it late Sun. night on Hallmark.

I have been following the re-runs on every station. Never watched it when it first played.

I feel like such a loser!!
