I was firmly booked at POP in September with FD. Budget trip in place. Of course, we were going to Boma one night and walk around AKL, my favorite place. But, I kept thinking about having to leave after dinner.:sad1: So I called CRO and booked AKL before old budget brain could take over.

And now I'm happy. Weak, but happy.:rotfl:

Anyone else waffle about where to stay??

I did the exact same thing as you last week....:rotfl:
I was booked at POP for the end of June, trying to be on a budget for a 9 day trip for my son's and my birthday. Well, after looking at pictures of AKL, my heart was drawn to it. I called my TA and had her book us at AKL for 9 days instead. :goodvibes
I haven't told my son that we are staying at AKL, and won't until we get there. He had always wanted to stay there, but it was out of my budget. But now I figure, who knows when we will get back to WDW, and it is our birthdays, so let's do this up BIG!
I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who changed my mind on resorts....:thumbsup2

THAT'S precisely why I did the split stay!!!:rotfl2: Couldn't justify (financially) 10 nights at the AKL so I did 5 nights at Pop and 5 at the AKL.

I was thinking about splitting it too. But since we weren't checking in til the last day of the promo, there was no way to split and keep free dining. And after all, with the free dining it's not nearly as expensive as without. That's how you can justify it. That's what the CM told me. Even though it's now costing me exactly twice as much as my original ressies, I am justified. :rotfl2:

Well, pour the syrup and call me breakfast.

If all the monorail resorts were not completely booked for this Friday night- I would already have changed the trip we have planned for end of this week/next week to a deluxe thereby more than doubling the entire trip cost!

Maybe the Universe is working to help me stay in my original budgeting perameters LOL. Could be a good thing!

My trip planning is not complete unless I waffle. :)

Last Christmas, it was between the Poly and the GF. I went back and forth, back and forth. The Poly is "home" to me, but it's been years since I've stayed at the GF and part of me wanted to try something new. In the end, I went with the 'ol standby and stayed at the Poly. :)

Good luck and pass the syrup!

Changed our FTP 2003 resort location three times! *LOL*

We've been more consistent since then. :)

We decided to take advantage of the free dining in September also. This was a spur of the moment - "hey let's take advantage of the free dining promo" - type of decision. My first reaction was to book at OKW where we've stayed 3 times before and been very comfortable. So I did!

My inner-self - a thrifty, bargain hunter type of gal - told me that I was not making a budget trip by staying at OKW. And, I really wanted to break the mold and try staying somewhere different. So, I got on the phone and changed to POFQ. I was thrilled that we would be saving money and trying something different. Then in talking it over with my hubby and having doubts that we would be comfortable for 2 weeks in a standard type hotel room, we decided that we should switch back to OKW. So I got on the phone again.

This time however they did not have the desired rooms we needed. So the CM offered that Saratoga Springs had those rooms available and so we decided to go there. So from OKW, to POFQ, back to OKW, then to SSR??

Talk about indecision.:scared:

Hand over a bucket of syrup here please!!!:rotfl:

It's not a WDW trip if I don't waffle at least a few times!

Guilty as charged:goodvibes But I've only changed resorts once for our Sept trip.

this coming trip i started with POFQ then switched to CSR then switched to WL w/ DDP!!!! after all its my 25th anniversary and she better be happy i did all the planning!!!!:worship: :thumbsup2

Guess that gets me 2 waffles

Yep, just did the waffle today. Was booked at POP with free dining - nice, budget trip. That was it, I wasn't going to change my mind or spend any more on this trip. I kept going back and forth between POP and POR and then today, I just couldn't resist a water view at POR so I called and changed the ressies. Oh well, I'm really excited about POR.

Booked AKL with a 40% off discount code I received.

Then we wanted to change to CSR, but they didn't have any rooms left that could be booked with the 40% off code.

Then we tried to change to CBR, but again, no rooms left there that could be booked with the 40% off code.

Then we tried to change to Pop, but again no rooms left.

So, I'm definitely doing the waffle, but alas, no one will pass me the syrup.:goodvibes

I've waffled out of "necessity". :rolleyes1

Booked Bounceback last Sept for WL. Changed that about a month later to AKL. :woohoo:

Need to go a few days sooner as 6yo starts 1st grade right after Labor Day. Hello free dining promo! I am now the sole adult on the trip ie. I'm paying the whole bill. Well we are staying at a Value. :rotfl2: I decided on Pop, disney online decided on Music. :lmao: Now I'm doing my research to get comfy for a trip at Music. I've been urged to try for Pop again as these things tend to adjust (hmm any wafflers know why?).

AKL will have to remain a Dream for another time. I am already getting a dream of 5 days of 1 on 1 time with my 6yo nephew. :cloud9: Absolutely worth the trade off.

A gut-wrenching decision, but I changed from WL in December to Pop in September for free dining. After the offer came out, it was too good to refuse. We're getting 2 more park days and free food! We've been at Christmas before, so now we're going to get to see the Halloween party. But the biggest clincher of the deal was that we saved $1400, nearly $1000 of that saved just on resort choice. So we waffled this year, but it turned out to be a great choice that saved us so much money. Never been to Pop, but I know that the kids will love it, just by the pictures I've seen. Just couldn't justify spending that type of money on a room this year.

Unfortunately for us, the free dining dates don't work out, so I did the next best thing!! Enjoy your free dining and I hope you got some great ressies!! Enjoy :thumbsup2
