Anybody Else Awake?

Anybody else up, waiting for the Southwest tickets to go on sale for Thanksgiving and Christmas? It's a fly or drive decision coming up for us if we can't get all our tickets for under $1200.

Yep It's so much cheaper than Toronto and only a little over a 2 hour drive.

Woohoo, got non-stop flights for 5 people for $1150, $1275 with early bird! I'm happy with that.

Ours would have been $1365 for 3 people out of Buffalo. We are going to try driving this year. Good thing we love road trips!

Edit! Stupid question, I forgot not everybody is going down at Christmas!

Ours (IND to MCO in mid November) would have been $1016 for 4 nonstops (booked as one ways in case prices drop, so 8 total tickets), but since we had travel funds for most of 3 tickets and use points for the rest, I actually only ended up having to put out $40.40 today

Well, that was a bust for me! After all that waiting for the new dates, Southwest went and changed their schedule. We were originally looking to fly to Charleston for Thandsgiving at HHI. But along with the new schedule came a severe cutback in service from our city to Charleston. So back to United (the only other airline that flies from our area) which we could have booked weeks ago. So then I called to extend our vacation at HHI, only to find that one of our nights was unavailable. Thank goodness for Members' Cash!

We were on it first thing this morning and got nonstop form Dallas second week of November for $89 each way with early bird for 3 it was $609.

SW is just too expensive for us for our NYE trip. We'll drive.
