Anybody else a Hallmark ornament collector?

I have probably 100+ and have been collecting since 1984. How do you store them? Any series you collect?

We put up our tree this w/end (it's 8.5 feet). I'm still unwrapping and hanging them on the tree. It takes ssssooooo long. I've been keeping them in their orginal boxes with paper/plastic. There has got to be a better way to store them. I don't want to throw out the boxes, though.

The running series I've got now are Mary's Angels, Kiddie Car Classics and Mischevious (sp?) Kitties. I can't believe how long Mary's Angels have run. They are up to nearly 20.

My 6.5 yo dd has aquired my love for these ornaments. I like buying special ones about what she's "into" that year, like Thomas the Train, Mike & Sully, Barbie, etc.

I do! They get a little expensive but I really enjoy them. I also keep each one stored in the original packaging.

I am not doing any particular series but my parents have been getting the kids the Christmas series for their age (1st Christmas, 2nd Christmas, etc..) and they did buy me a complete Disney marching band set off of Ebay a few years ago as a gift to me. Other than that I just buy a few each year that represent something important to us that year (new home, etc.) or just a few that I like or the kids like. This year I bought the Lady and the Tramp ornament, the Power Ranger ornament for DS and the one where the big brother is holding up his baby sister to put the Santa letter in the mailbox. I usually also try to hit the after Christmas sale at the Hallmark store. In the past I have gotten ornaments 90% off and that is really good deal!!!

I started collecting the miniature disney ornaments a few years ago. Every year they have a new "regular" disney orament and also a "pooh" ornament. I don't always get the pooh one...I could make a tree with just pooh if I did that! I only get the pooh one if it's extra cute.

Right now I'm doing the little puppy dog that grows up over five years for DS. We're on his third. Also started doing the kitten for my goddaughter...we're on her second.

I plan to always get DS and our godchild a hallmark ornament each year.
