My sister tried to get a LM room only ressie for Nov.17-Nov.19. On Wednesday evening, she was told it was full. Yesterday, she called back and was able to book a room. I wonder, if FD played a roll in opening up LM rooms.

Yes. In the November thread there were at least a few people that moved to mods or POP.

We did in October. I have seen at least 10 posts of people dropping LM for FD. So I am sure lots of rooms are opening up as for every one that posts about it here I am sure there are several more who didn't post.

Yes we dropped LM for Pop once free dining was announced. We will be spending one night there OOP for the experince but couldn't justify the cost when we had a chance to eat around the World for free ;)

We switched to Pop 11/29-12/7 from LM. Hoping that enough will make the switch that Disney needs to open up a few LM rooms for FD. Probably not, but a guy can hope right.::yes:::surfweb:

Hopefully once they realize people dropped out of LM because of the FD it'll open in the future. I priced it out vs POP and if they had offered it, It was a VERY small amount of money extra to still stay at LM if the FD offer had stood:confused3

We did. We upgraded to a pirate room at CBR pirate:. Our dates are 11/14-11/26, so I'm sure we freed up at least one room for a good chunk of time ;). --Katie

Can anyone give me an idea of how much you saved when you dropped LM and went with POP to get FD?

The $5 plus the cost of quick service dining for each person (4 people) for us so a rather large price difference. We added an extra night and 2 park days and still saved about 600

Currently we are booked at AoA in the Little Mermaid room and we have the table service dining plan (one snack, one CS, one TS).

So if we switched to the Pop resort (for example) but wanted to upgrade from the quick service dining plan to the next level up, does anyone know how much we would save?

Also, what if we switched to a Moderate resort and did free dining does anyone know if this would save us money or cost more?

THANKS!
