When I open my MDE app it is slow and sometimes takes up to a minute to be usable. Then when I click on anything such as wait times or my plans the app is really slow to respond. I've deleted it off my iphone and re-installed the app and it doesn't seem to fix the issues. Is this normal or is there a way to improve app performance?

How old is your iPhone? Went with my sister last year who has an old one, maybe iPhone 8. She had a lot of trouble using the app. I have an iPhone 13 and it works fine.

I have an iPhone 16, and haven't had any issues.

I wonder if it could be a memory space issue. If your phone doesn't have very much free memory space, I believe that can sometimes result in apps running slow.

Same model as you! Can report smooth sailing too. Not even Maleficent is messing the app up.

MDE is a pretty bloated app, so if you phone is older it may have issues. I use Android but, unfortunately, that's just the way it is.

What iPhone are you using and what version of iOS are you using since both have a major impact in the minimal level of compatibility. Also you mentioned that you deleted the MDE and re-downloaded it but did you delete the Cache when prompted.

There is no benefit to keeping the MDE Cache data. The MDE app only keeps a couple of user / app setting and you are prompted for them when you delete and install the latest version.

Minimum iOS 17 or later and the app requires 533.6 MB of space on your device. There is a new version of MDE for iOS as of about 1 hour ago, 8.17.0

Thanks Dave... Iphone 16 with ios 26. I did what you mentioned and things seem to be running smoother.
