I'm planning a trip for Sept. and I just started Atkins about 3 weeks ago. I was just wondering if anyone has been to WDW on a diet. Any good places to eat while dieting??? :sunny: I don't want to blow my diet on vacation and I know it would be VERY easy to while at Disney!!!!

There is a whole article on that on allearsnet.com. If you go the dining page you'll see something about it on the left side of the page. I think it says something about "Czarina does low-carb at WDW".

So, you through with induction huh? How did it go? I lost weight on Atkins a few years ago and go on it periodically to keep my weight down. It works very well for my husband and I. Good luck.

Atkins has been good. I lost 10 lbs during induction. I've been trying to lost weight for a couple months and Atkins finally helped jumpstart my weight loss!!!! I'm gonna try to stick w/this diet!!! LOL :earsgirl:

Hi,

we are doing Atkins since last may and have been at WDW the last two weeks. Although we decided not to do Atkins there (there are so many things to eat you never get at Germany) it would have been no problem.
All the Buffets we had were lot of LC-food. Even at the foodcourt at the Pop Century were low-carb-turkey sandwich in the fridge :cool1:

Dont worry about...you will have a lot to eat.

We have been on it for a year with a lot of success. I went off the first meal there, DH continued for a few meals. There are a lot of lo carb options at the buffets like Cape May, steamed shrimp, prime rib, green beans, grilled salmon, salad stuff. He had no problem filling up there. His downfall was seeing the dessert buffet :earseek: Nothing lo carb there :sad2:

I've been doing Atkins for a few weeks (lost 30 lbs!). I'm headed down to the World on Sunday for 10 days. I'm planning on sticking to the diet, so I will definitely report back after my trip.

We are staying at the BCV and have a full kitchen so that will make things a *little* easier. I think I'll do fine except for desserts. I've already decided I'm going to get a little Dark Chocolate Almond Bark from the place on the boardwalk and nibble on it during the week when everyone else is splurging--I'm hoping that a little bit of chocolate will keep me from falling off the wagon.

The Adkins diet has lost steam in our area of the country. Too much press about the consequences relating to health issues if you stay on it for any length of time. Most everyone I know who was on it in 2004 is off of it now.
:cool1:

Myself and a lot of people at work do the atkin diet. But on vacation we put the diet on vacation!!

DH and I (well more DH then I) do atkins and found it pretty hard to stick to in the parks. I mean how many no bun hamburgs can you eat. Sit down dinners were much easier - meat meat and more meat - its the temptation of dessert and drinks that are hard - but thats a problem on any diet!

good luck!
