any1 going in december 17 2005 on the west

poohbear56 Welcome to the cruise!!! Glad to have more join in. Let us know about your family.

jgrant03 Welcome back to this meet thread - been wondering where you have been. I have a DS(16) and DS(13) that will be on this cruise.

lbgraves Have you found anyone yet to take over the web page?

Have a great weekend,
Kathy :sunny:

300 days and counting!!! :cheer2: It's still a secret from our DC!!! :) This thread is growing!

AKB

Took your advice and joined you on this thread. Anyone with a teenager going? My 14 year old grandaughter would like a response from another teen out there. She has a thread started under "Fonzy", she is on her second Disney cruise, and would like to hear form other teens going on 12/17/05.
This will be our 6th Disney Cruise. Each one keeps getting better and better. The ship looks great at Christmas time. If you've never seen it before you'll be very impressed. I love the big gingerbread house.
The towel folding is a lot of fun and kids are invited too. You learn to make all the neat animals the staff makes and leaves in your rooms. It's great family fun, so is the MIckey 200 race. Be sure and check it out is you have kids.
Hope to meet some of you during the cruise.

:wave2: Well, we're changing our reservations. We decided Christmas Eve in the airport wasn't for us. My kids have to be home Christmas Eve. Plus, when I priced the cruise for January 14 and saved $900! It's hard to argue with that. DD will just have to miss school a week. Hope everyone has a great cruise!

We are also cruising Dec 17th. I have 2 daughters that will be 9 and 6 when we set sail. We cruised Disney last year inbetween hurricanes. Wew live in FL and needed a break from all of that. It was a mess. The cruise was wonderful but since there was so much damage to CC we could not dock. That was OK we were just happy to be cruising.

We can not wait until December!!! :cheer2:

The website will be shut down at the end of the month. Ivillage is doing away with their websites. It can be transferred to another site before then. If anyone wants to do this, LMK. Otherwise, it will no longer be available.

I have no say in it. The website provider is closing down their service. Noone can chat on it.

NO! Everyone who has been on this thread knows what I am talking about. I'm out of here.

lbgraves - Thank you for letting us know about the web site. I know you put in a lot of hard work on the site. I wish I was more computer literate and could take over the site elsewhere. Thanks for keeping it up even after you cancelled the Dec 17 cruise.

jgrant03 - lbgraves was generous enough to start a web site just for us Dec 17 cruisers - you can read about it several pages back. She is just letting us know that web server (Ivillage) for that web site is shutting down - she has no control over this. The DIZ and this thread will still be here for us to keep up to date with each other.

mom x4,grandma x4 - Welcome to the Dec 17 thread and cruise. Let your DGD know that I have two teenagers coming - DS(13) and DS(16). I haven't read of any teenage girls yet on this cruise - at least that I remember.

Everyone have a great weekend.

Okay, our cruise seems sooooo far away! It is so hard to wait! We've already been booked for seven months!
I have now rolled enough change to cover our tips. Now to begin rolling for excursion money.

tamicampbell-Welcome! I will have a six year old daughter also! Her name is Lauren.

It is a long time, but believe me it will go quickly.
we booked it a year ago, so for us it's really been a long wait.
we have already booked back to back 7 day cruises for the end of November and first week of
december of 2006 for just my husband and myself. It does give you something to look forward to. I too have been saving all my change in 4
disney penny banks, but havnt counted it yet. I also started saving all my
$1.00 for the last year for spending money for all our kids and grandkids so we dont get hit with a big bill all at once. Hope to meet you sometime on the cruise to see if your having a magical time. mom x4,grandma x4

Now that it is March, we only have 9 more months left, LOL. I am not to sure who is more excited, the kids or myself.

We live about 45 minutes away from Disney and we just bought the annual passes. We are going to Disney this weekend. I told my DH that we needed to do Disney atleast once a month until our cruise. Maybe that we help me, LOL.

I read that there is a website for the 12-17 cruisers. Can someone post that to me?

Thanks
Tami :earboy2:

Tami,
We live about 45 minutes from Disney too. What an odd coincidense that we both live fairly close to Disney. We live in Poinciana. We have annual passes and go to Disney all the time. One of our sons and his wife work for Disney.
Our house is filled with lots of Disney stuff,That I have collected over the past 5 years. My dining room is set up with stuffed animals around the table having a tropical party, like we had on the ship. I will change it to a Disney Christmas party just before the cruise. We have to eat in the nook area because there is no room in the dining room.
If you go to the Magic Kingdom, be sure and check out the gift shop at The Pirates of the Caribbean. They have lot of great shirts, head banbanas, eye patches etc... to wear at the pirates dinner party on the ship.

as far as pirate stuff goes, check out this site:
http://www.talklikeapirate.com/
OK, maybe we're a bit obsessive about pirates in this house, but the are cool, and a fabulous launching point for learning opportunities with our kids pirate:

Thanks for the headsup on the pirate website. I browsed through it today and enjoyed it very much. I will pass it on to my other family members who are coming on the cruise with us.

ok, I know it's still 9 months away, but considering that we've been planning since July, it's kinda like we hit our halfway mark! Our tax refund came, and we finally called and added the kids and my mom today :cheer2: ...they're even going to request splitting the beds in 1 room from queen to 2 twins...WOO HOO! Now, if only my husband's company's stock would go up so we can sell his ESOP to pay for the rest of the cruise!!!

Thanks for the heads up about the pirates stuff. I was wondering if we would have one on the ship or not. We are new to Disney cruises, cruises for that matter. We went on the Disney 3 day last Sept. inbetween hurricanes and did not dock at CC. We really did not matter, we just needed a vacation at that time. We had some water damage to our house but nothing too bad. We live in Melbourne, all hurricanes we went to Tampa. This hurricane season we will just stay home unless the kids want to leave. Hopefully this season will not be like last year.

Anyway thanks again for the heads up. Is there a website just for our cruise with everyone on it?
